7 Limitations of the study

This study has several limitations such as study involve small sample size and cover a
very limited area of the company thus the results cannot be generalized. The results are
also limited to 50 employees out of the over 430. Respondents provided their responses on
the impact of rewards on employee motivation, where a ‘bias’ can also exist. Convenience
sampling was used to collect the data from respondents on the basis of their availability and
willingness to participate in survey, so the sample may or may not represent the whole
population well. Binding rewards in a structured questionnaire format only brings out the
facts and figures the researcher needs to know. Open, unstructured interview can bring out
beautiful, interesting and recipe of being highly successful. It could have a better learning had
allowed speaking their mind about the practices they undertake but here there is only a
questionnaire due to time limitation. A more elaborate study would have revealed a better
picture to get an idea as a whole in this sector. A bigger picture could have been done if only
the nook and corner could have been reached. Some other Study Limitations are, Human
Limitations: The sample size of this study is considered as a small sample size, hence it is
estimated to be round 50 respondents. The problem in this study is that it would be hard to
reach to all these respondents and would be costly. However, the sample size is the more
reliable results would be. Time Limitations: Although there is a time limitation facing this
study, the researcher hopes to examine all the factors mentioned and also the impact of each
factor on employee motivation and to reach appropriate findings and conclusions on time.
Study Measurement Limitations: Through this study the researcher hopes to use the right
scales and measurements to collect data, so the researcher did the best to choose the right
measurements that exactly represent the variables of the study.
