A SUCCESS

What does success mean to you? Is it passing your exams with flying colours or owning
a private jet in the future? How to achieve success? Assalammualaikum wbt and a very good day
to the honourable judges, respected teachers, and my beloved friends. Now I'm standing here to
deliver a speech entitled 'A Success'.

What is success? To be honest, I can't tell the exact meaning of success because everyone
has their own interpretation of success. Some people measure their success by the uncountable
A's in their exam results. Some people define success as when they finally get their dream job. In
my humble point of view, success is when you are paving your way to chase your dreams and
make them come true. I bet that all of us have at least one thing that we desire to achieve in life.

However, success doesn’t come as easy as ABC. It doesn’t become a reality through
magic. It takes blood, sweat and tears to earn it. Success is all about taking risks, sacrificing your
energy and of course, it needs enthusiasm. Therefore, what are the vital steps to achieve success?

First and foremost, you need to set the main goal that you want to fulfill in life. Ask
yourself what you want to be? What do you want to do? In this case, you need to identify your
passion because I believe that a dream is born from a passion. For instance, since I was little, I
have loved to write. For me, writing is like therapy, it heals things that people can't see. When
my life turns upside down and hectic, all I have to do is take a pen and write something. It can be
poems, it can be a short story and sometimes it is just a simple quote. I found peace in writing.
So, I've been dreaming of becoming a journalist one fine day.

Next, you must have a strategy to achieve your dreams. Start planning your way to your
success because if you fail to plan then you are planning to fail. Take some time to think about
what you should do to bring all of your ambitions and dreams to reality. If your dream is to get
excellent results in all of your exams, then strive for it. You must take responsibility for your
goals because no one will make all your wishes come true except you. I repeat, no one.
Remember you don’t learn how strong you are until you are pushed beyond what you thought
you could handle and you emerge on the other side with more bravery, grace and determination
like a phoenix. Hence with that, you will reap the success with the effort you sow.

Ladies and gentlemen,

Have you ever been so afraid of failing at something that you decided not to try? Many
of us probably have experienced this one time or another. It is crucial to highlight failure as a
part of success. Do not be afraid to fail. Do not deter about failing. History tells us if Albert
Einstein was concerned about failing, he wouldn’t be the most outstanding scientist of all time.
You will stumble and fall, and doors will get slammed in your faces. But imagine you rise again
with abundant of experience, criticism and improvisation; you will be unstoppable. Speaking of
experience, I was formerly streamed into a vocational school; unfortunately, I could not cope
with the syllabus. In perks of giving up on my studies, with the support from my parents and
friends, I decided to start over in a mainstream school. It is exhausting initially, but I am
enjoying the process and will try my best to work even harder for the SPM. I believe success is
not final and failure is not fatal.

Dearest audience,

Last but not least, you need enthusiasm and hard work to pursue your dreams. Without
enthusiasm and hard work, passion and great planning are in vain. As I said earlier, success
doesn't come easy. It needs you to sacrifice your time, your sleep, and your energy. To make
your dreams come true, you must take the heat to make them happen.

To wrap up my points, success belongs to people who put their best effort to make it
happen. I wish you are enjoying my speech. I hope one day all of us can be the successful people
we have always dreamt of. That's all from me for now. I hope you are living your life to the
fullest. Just bear in mind, you don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.
