“Things I Learned during the COVID-19 and later will Share to my pupils, children

and community”

What is COVID-19? A Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease

caused by a newly discovered coronavirus. Most people who fall sick with COVID-19
will experience mild to moderate symptoms and recover without special treatment. The
virus that causes COVID-19 is mainly transmitted through droplets generated when an
infected person coughs, sneezes, or exhales. These droplets are too heavy to hang in the
air and quickly fall on floors or surfaces. The coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic is
defining the global health crisis of our time and the greatest challenge we are facing as
relate to silent war. This pandemic COVID-19 is dangerous to human beings due to the
invisible enemy. The infected persons indeed suffer from this virus and no vaccine or
medicine would kill the virus. But COVID-19 is much more than a health crisis. By
stressing every one of the countries it touches, it has the potential to create devastating
social, economic, and political crises that will leave deep scars. Business establishments,
schools, amusement parks remained closed.

This pandemic made me feel sad but I keep on praying, a lot of people are
hoping for miracles, somehow I do believe that God can make miracles in this crisis.
Since we are in a tough situation, I learned to be a patient person, more loving,
compassionate, and helpful. I read proper hygiene techniques that would help us to
avoid the COVID-19 and applied it every time I have to go outside. I understood the
situation of my parents, they are not qualified to go outside due to the enhanced
community quarantine. I walk for ten kilometers to buy medicines, food, and important
pieces of stuff at home.

One time, I had an experience, when I was walking briskly on the street I saw a
child for about ten years old riding on a wooden cart with her mother and younger
sibling, the boy stared at me and asked for alms. I thought they haven't had they're
breakfast, I felt a sudden sadness that squeezed my heart, so I gave them an alms and
told the young boy to buy the food they want. During that moment, I believed that it
was God who was asking for alms, he used the young boy to test my character and I did
not hesitate to share with what I had in my pocket. I would choose kindliness for it was
God who gave us all the blessings that we have. This was one of my unforgettable
experienced and I'm willing to share this with my pupils once we get back to a normal
class. I'm grateful to God that I am alive and there's a power in prayer and indeed
prayers can move mountains that could lead to miracles. In fact, we cannot escape the
realities of every situation, we have to be compassionate to the needy and poor rather
than ungrateful. Let us continue to serve our God even in a little way. It was God who
saw your deeds on earth and there is a purpose why you are still alive.
