Respected Sir,

I, Marjorie Buhian Dequin am writing this letter to apply for the Provincial Youth Scholarship Program
(PYSP). I am currently enrolled in Saint Joseph College of Sindangan Incorporated and I wish to show my
intent to avail the scholarship your company offers through the means of this letter.

I'm the daughter of Juanito Dequin a retired marines and Marglo Dequin a housekeeper. Even if my
father is a retired marines and is considered as a wage earner and receives pension monthly, we are still
in need of financial assistant to pursue my college career. My father was called out away from service
due to an unwanted sickness. It's been ten (10) long years of suffering from a sickness called stroke. He
can't speak properly, walk properly and can't do job to earn money. His pension is not enough to support
my studies since we need to buy him medicines and of course our basic necessities.

For the past days, I’ve been applying for every scholarship offered, but sadly I wasn't picked due to the
matter that my father receives pension. I feel bad about it, for I do believe that every people have the
right for any privileges offered by the community. I am hoping that this scholarship you offers is what I
expected of it.

Sir, this scholarship will help me work towards my dream of becoming a great accountant or an
entrepreneur someday, if God will grant me. I'm hoping that you will consider me as one of the lucky
students your company will be picking. I can assure you that I am worthy of it. I promise that something
will be paid off at the end. I am a student who loves her studies, obedient to parents and elders, and
have passion and desires to serve the community and the people in Zamboanga del Norte and beyond.

Norte. My parents are both farmers who strive hard to sustain our daily needs. I have heard that you are
having a Provincial Youth Scholarship Program to be given to the students whose parents can't afford to
send their children to school. And I'm one of those children that need financial support to sustain my
education.
