I'm Carlo A. Loyola, 23 years of age currently residing at Macaas, Catmon, Cebu. My mother died last
July 1998, and my father is a farmer who strives hard to sustain our daily needs. I have heard that you
have a Scholarship Program to be given to the students whose parents can't afford to send their children
to school. And I'm one of those children that need financial support to sustain my education.

Our current status with my family at this juncture motivates me to pursue my study. I know that
nowadays, education is the best weapon for the poor to become a successful one. The value of
education awakens my mind to finish my studies for me to reach my aimed goal, mainly to serve our
community as well as to our dear fellowmen.

Sir, this scholarship will help me work towards my dream of becoming a great teacher someday if God
will grant me. I'm hoping that you will consider me as one of the lucky students your scholarship
program will be picking. I can assure you that I am worthy of it. I promise that something will be paid off
in the end.
