Why should you hire from my country?.

Mexico has a very bad reputation, and everyone here is very aware of that. As soon as you introduce
yourself as Mexican you find out there’s a lot of judgement, saying we’re lazy, we’re bad at what we do,
that we lack of judgement and we lack of honesty.

I am here to tell you, it’s not true; growing up in a country like mine, your thirst for opportunity grows as
fast as you do along your life. In my case, since I was little my parents gave me all the tools to make
something out of me, to be my very best no matter what my task is.

Growing up here has only shown me the best qualities to work, resilience, hope, fidelity, honesty, and
being grateful. This country makes obstacles for their population (young and old) along life, each year
more difficult to pass, each year more overwhelming. But as I said, we learn to never give up, to work as
hard as we can and to make the very best of us every step of the way, no matter how hard life gets. People
like me have jobs since 15 years old, trying to gain as much job experience as they can so one day they
can be good employees or, in brighter cases, employers. People like me learn during their lives that you
build your own path, knowledge is powerful and that a good life doesn’t just come by.

Despite what you hear, read or even think about us Mexicans…, we’re a great country, because no matter
how hard it gets for us to get the basics to live well, we make it happen, no matter the age, economic
status, religion or state, we make our own paths with joy, effort and hope that one day we will have a
great life, a better life. It’s still a beautiful country filled with good people, the people who actually want
to be helpful and welcoming, the people that want to keep moving forward, the people that just want to
feel and know that they’re being the very best that they can.

In my personal case and experience, I know how my country is, it has given me big and great
opportunities, but it has also given me great obstacles. I’m always craving for more, more experience,
more knowledge, more capacities, just, more. I know I have what it takes to develop my full potential, I
just haven’t found the right place yet. I’m honest, resilient, brave, curious, perfectionist and my eye is
always focused on detail, and, I know I would’ve never developed those abilities if it wasn’t for my
country and all of its ups and downs. I’m the best version of me today, but I look forward to be even
better, to gain knowledge, to get to know people, to expand my horizons, always having in mind how
thankful I am of where I come from, and making my way to be where I want to be.
