ACADEMIC CHALLENGES AMONG NURSING STUDENTS TRANSITIONING FROM
VIRTUAL TO HYFLEX LEARNING ENVIRONMENT: INPUT TO WELLNESS
PROGRAM
The study focuses on the academic challenges among nursing students
transitioning from virtual to hyflex learning environment. The emergence of the COVID- 19 pandemic resulted in a sudden transition to learning which led nursing students to adapt from virtual to hyflex learning. The study will also state student’s environment, content of learning, teaching and learning strategies, resources of learning, and many more to determine how these factors affect nursing students academically. Important factors such as cognitive stress and coping strategies will also be mentioned to be able to come up with the most suitable wellness program. This pedagogical transition with the learning environment of nursing students was evaluated using qualitative data analysis. The scope of the study is limited to level 2, 3 and 4 nursing students who have experienced transitioning from virtual to hyflex learning. Each volunteer to the study will be asked to complete a short questionnaire adapted from Keady (1999). By their strategy the researchers will be able to know the effects of transitioning from virtual to hyflex learning to nursing students.
