INTRODUCTION
• Machine Learning is used across many spheres around the world. The healthcare industry is no exception.

• Because heart diseases can be life-threatening, we have focused on designing smart systems to accurately diagnose them
based on electronic health data, with the aid of machine learning algorithms.

• Today, heart diseases are increasing at an alarming rate which puts the doctors as well as patients at concern.

• The patient usually gets very less time to act on it once it is detected. It also puts the family of the patient in grief and panic.

• This is what motivated us to develop a system in which a heart disease can be predicted, thus giving the patient ample time
to reflect upon it and act accordingly. He/she can consult a doctor immediately thus, preventing any fatal occurrences.

PROBLEM STATEMENT
• The major challenge in heart disease is its detection. There are instruments available which can predict heart disease but either
it are expensive or are not efficient to calculate chance of heart disease in human.
• Early detection of cardiac diseases can decrease the mortality rate and overall complications.
• However, it is not possible to monitor patients everyday in all cases accurately and consultation of a patient for 24 hours by a
doctor is not available since it requires more sapience, time and expertise.
• Since we have a good amount of data in today’s world, we can use various machine learning algorithms to analyze the data for
hidden patterns.
• The hidden patterns can be used for health diagnosis in medicinal data.
OBJECTIVES

To develop an efficient system using machine learning that helps –

1. To reduce heart disease fatalities

2. To signal the patient in advance so as to avoid further complications
3. To make full use of machine learning algorithms
4. To make proper use of the Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence concepts that we learned till now.
WORKING PRINCIPLE AND METHODOLOGY
• The system architecture gives an overview of the working of the system.

• The working of this system is described as follows: Dataset collection is collecting data which contains patient details.
Attributes selection process selects the useful attributes for the prediction of heart disease.

• After identifying the available data resources, they are further selected, cleaned, made into the desired form.

• Different classification techniques as stated will be applied on preprocessed data to predict the accuracy of heart disease.

• Accuracy measure compares the accuracy of different classifiers.
