Dear Sir or Madam,

As Ankara Atatürk High School, our school has 1351 students and 117 teachers. Our high school,
founded in 1886, is among the most successful and oldest schools in Ankara, Turkiye. The duration of
education is 5 years long and several foreign languages – German, Chinese, Russian, French, Spanish
and Arabic- are taught besides science and social sciences. The first year of education consists of
English teaching.

In our school, during the education year, according to information acquired from the analyses of
mathmatics exams, it is determined that reasons like ADHD, rashness, the addiction of digital/video
games, affects the academical success of students between the age of 14 and 18 negatively at the
rate of about %30 to %35.

With the effects of global pandemic and carentina process, some problems like asociability, addiction
to video games, unusual changes in brain functions , ADHD, inadequate time management and
unability to focus online lessons and exams are observed in great masses of students of our country.
We think that the situation is very similar among the same age group of students in the other
countries.

Regarding all those indications obtained, we presume that smart games or board games such as
“Chess”, “Look Look”, “Match Madness”, “Q-Bitz Extreme”, “IQ Fit”, “IQ Focus”, “Sudoku”
“Equilibrio” etc., will affect the practical thinking positively, increase the ability of focusing, learning
time management and moreover improving social skills because of the aid of the Smart Games Club
activities conducted in our school, exercises done previously, and other experiences.

We aim to eliminate the negative effects mentioned in the text by replacing the addiction of video
games to playing smart games and by playing those kinds of games, to improve social skills, increase
the focusing abilities and the speed of understanding and solving problems in shorter time both
during the exams and daily lives, be tolerant to the differences and be respective and patient to the
others, participate with the other groups of students from different countries and observe and show
the changes of this on their academic success and life skills firstly to the students, themselves with
our Erasmus+ KA220 Project, .

We will be very pleased to work with you and with your students in the Project. The subject of it is
open to your additional ideas to enlarge and make it more common. If you are interested in the
Project, please contact me by sending an e-mail or texting.

Best regards,

Sedef Dincel
