Type of the project: Erasmus+ Youth Exchange
Participants: 40 (4 youths 18-23 years and 1 group leader 18 and above from each partner organisation)

" Young people for a green future” involves


40 participants from Malta, Lithuania,
Greece, Italy, Slovakia and Bulgaria discuss,
analyze and debate on the importance of
sustainable way of living to increase the
environmental awareness among the young
participants of the project, promoting a way
of living that is sustainable for our planet,
with the final goal to decrease the
detrimental effects of pollution
Objectives:
1. To use the non-formal learning process to better introduce and explain environmental issues to
one's community of reference.

2. To enhance the cultural background of the participants with the fundamental concepts of:
environmental protection, biosphere, climate change.

3. To exchange experiences and good practices, with the other participants in the project on the issue
of environmental protection.

4. To improve the sense of initiative in order to propose effective changes starting from the realization
of an Erasmus + exchange project designed together with the other participants of “YPGF: Young People for a
Green Future”

5. To promote information and cultural exchange, for the creation of a harmonious environment within
the group during the days of activities, through sessions of learning practices and methodologies.

6. To understand that a plastic-free lifestyle is the answer to the emergencies we face every day.
understand how to drastically reduce the pollution produced by plastics and find new alternative methods.

The Venue and accommodation

Participants of the Youth Exchange will stay in the Marsaxlokk Youth Activity Center.

Address: Marsaxlokk Youth Activity Center, St Francis Street, Marsaxlokk MXK, 1432
The participants will be accommodated in the rooms with 2-3 beds, shared showers separate for
male and female.
Travel

Participants can reach Malta through Malta International Airport. Malta


Public Transportation buses are available from the airport to Xerriex bus
stop. The Marsaxlokk Youth Activity Center is two minutes’ walk from the
Xerriex bus station. Proutist Universal Malta will assist you for
transportation if you find difficulties.
Young people for a green future

INSURANCE

Each participant must have health insurance. In any case, please remember health
insurance, as well as travel insurance, is your responsibility. So don’t forget to check
and bring your insurance card with you.

Food
The breakfast, lunch, dinner and coffee break will be provided at the Marsaxlokk Youth
Activity Center. The participants should inform us forward about their dietary or any
specific needs.
Important Notes

Each country can bring at least one


laptop with them to use during the
cultural nights and activities.

For the cultural night's participants


should prepare presentations about
their country, city, or traditional
dances. Also, participants should
bring traditional foods for the
cultural night. You should bring food
and drink for the cultural night.
