1. INTRODUCTION
1. Open the shipping box, then remove the Operation Panel, Interconnecting Cables
and other furnished parts.
2. Remove the HFG from the shipping pallet and place it near to its site in the room.
At least two people are required for this operation.
3. When the HFG is unpacked, check the part numbers and serial numbers of each
component with its identification labels, and inspect all pieces for visible damage.
If any damaged parts are found, repair or order replacements to prevent
unnecessary delay in installation.
4. Remove the HFG covers for cable connections.
3. CABLE CONNECTION
3.1 INTRODUCTION
This section provides the information necessary to connect the HFG with the system
and options.
This HFG is permanently connected to the power line, and powered on unless the
safety switch installed in the room electrical cabinet is off.
Internal parts of the generator are permanently powered on through power line
although the OP is off. Be sure that the safety switch is off before handling any
internal part of the equipment.
1. Verify that the power supply line is “OFF” in the room electrical cabinet.
2. The power supply line should be according to the HFG model defined in the
“Pre-Installation” document.
[Fig. 1]
[Fig. 2]
• Make sure that stator wires are properly connected. Before making any exposure,
check that the anode rotates correctly.
• If the X-ray tube is provided with the Temperature switch signal, the cable should
be routed to the terminal block TB 502 of Interface Board in the HFG and
connected to the following terminals.
Stator Wires INTERFACE BOARD [TB 502]
TEMPERATURE RELAY THERM. PR.
TEMPERATURE RELAY THERM PR
• If an X-ray tube is not provided with thermostat signal, jump both connections in
the terminal block TB 502.
• The HV Transformer contains isolation oil. Check that there is not oil leakage.
• If there is, check that the oil level is approximately 12 ㎜ of the top surface of the HV
transformer.
• Check that all electrical connections are firm and secure, and all cables are
correctly routed.
• Re-install the HFG covers and connect its internal ground wires.
• Pass the power line, high voltage and interconnections cable through the
respective cable outlets.
5. SYSTEM INTERCONNECTIONS
• The HV Transformer contains isolation oil. Check that there is not oil leakage.
• If there is, check that the oil level is approximately 12 ㎜ of the top surface of the HV
transformer.

[9]OVER Indication(Red)
The LED is switched on when operation exceeds radiography conditions. The exposure
is prohibited while [the over LED] is lighted on. In case the LED is turned on due to
changed exposure conditions in the APR mode, the memory of condition should not be
saved. Under the AEC mode selection, if radiography time exceeds backup time, it
blinks. Backup release switch cancels over display at the time of AEC mode.
[10]ERROR Indicator(Red)
The LED is turned on when an error occurs.
[16]Setting switch of a Patient Size and Display and Radiography memory switch
This switch is used for selecting Exposure size. And selected size is displayed. And in
that case of APR Exposure condition revision, store it.
* It is prohibited under DENSITY≠0, and OVER Display on to store APR Exposure

When problems occurred during the use of equipment, they should be marked on the [3]kV,
[4]mA setting section. As well, the [10] error LED will be lighted on with the occurrence of
error.
Error Code
The error code is displayed when problems, such as abnormalities, occur to equipment.
While the error code is displayed, radiography operation is forbidden for safety.
A power supply is re-switched off and on, then an error code is cleared. If the problem of
equipment is not solved at the time of a power-supply re-switched on, the display is lighted
on again.
Check code
Check codes are warning displays when an error is on operation of equipment unlike an error
code. While the check code is displayed, radiography operation is forbidden for safety. Check
code is cleared when the backup release switch is switched on. Please refer to the check code
list for the case the clearance method is different.
CODE Description
Ch_01 TUBE THERMOSTAT OPERATION
The temperature of the slim and long shaped light bulb is higher than 80C.
Thermo switch is in open position.
Release the check code at Thermo switch off condition.
Ch_02 When another switch is pushed during exposure
Release the check code with back up reset switch.
Ch_03 When PREP. Switch on OP PANEL is detached during exposure

Ch_07 Shortage of power-supply capacity for exposure
The power voltage drop is below AC160V and DC 150V.
Release the check code with input of power.
Ch_08 Simultaneous exposure prohibition
Other x-ray system is executed simultaneously when the exposure ready switch
was pushed.
Release the check code by off the power of other x-ray system.
Ch_09 Warning to X-rays room door opening
The door of x-ray room was opened when the exposure ready switch was pushed.
Stop the exposure of x-ray in this case and the check code is released when the
door is closed.
