INTRODUCTION :

Klein , Schanzlin & Becker (KSB) was a multinationl company which

produces Pumps and Volves allover world .The pumps and Valves are used to
transfer or force a gas or liquid in a particular direction.

Pumps:
Pump is a machine or mechanical which is required to lift liquid from low
pressure area to high pressure area or as a booster in a piping network system. Pumps
also can beused in the process of operation that requires a hydraulic pressure . This
can be seen in heavy duty equipments . Often heavy duty equipments requires a high
discharge pressure and a low suction pressure. Due to low pressure at a suction side
of a pump ,fluid will lift from certain depth , whereas due to high pressure at
discharge side of pump , it will push fluid to lift until reach desired height.

Valves:
A valve is a mechanism that opens and closes to control the flow of fluids.
In a scientific context, fluid include both liquid and gases – any substances that can
flow freely. Valves control fluid flow in motors, plumbing, irrigation, pneumatic and
hydraulic systems.

Types of Valves:
• Butterfly valves
• Diaphragm valves
• Ball valves
