This month, the lovely Donna from the BD Design Team shows us how to create a
gorgeous pair of earrings with Swarovski Pearls and Bicones. With the shimmer of faceted
beads, these ‘Belle of the Ball’ earrings will have you ready for the festive celebrations. With
enough product in the 'products used' list to make 2 pairs of earrings, they are excellent
value for money too. Ready? Let's Bead!

STEP 1
Pick up 6A, go through them all again, and the first one once more to bring them into a
circle.
STEP 2
Pick up 1B and go through the next A bead. Repeat five more times and step up by going
through the first B bead again.
STEP 3
Pick up 4B and go through the next B from Step 2. Repeat five more times and step up
through the first 4B added
STEP 4
Pick up 1B and got through the next 4B added in step 3. Repeat five more times and step
up through the 1st B added in this step
STEP 5
Pick up 3B and go through the one you were exiting again to create a Right Angle Weave
(RAW) stitch.

Repeat to add a RAW stitch to each single B bead added in Step 4


STEP 6
Go through the next 3B. Pick up 1B and go through the top 3B of the RAW stitch.
STEP 7
Pick up 1B and go through the 2nd and 3rd B from step 3
STEP 8
Pick up 1B and pass through the top 3B of the RAW stitch.

Continue adding a bead either side of the RAW (aklways skipping the 1st and 4th bead from
row 3) in this manner all the way round.
STEP 9
Exiting the top bead of a RAW stitch, pick up 2B, 1C, 2B. Go through the top bead of the
next RAW stitch.

This will be the top part of the earring.


STEP 10
Work through to exit the top bead of the next RAW stitch. Pick up 2B, 1D, 2B and go
through the top bead of the next RAW stitch.
STEP 11
Repeat Step 9.
STEP 12
Pick up 2B, 1D, 2B and go through the top bead of the next RAW stitch.
STEP 13
Work through the next 2B. Pick up 1B, skip over the gap, and go through the next B.

Work through to exit the B before the C bead at the top.


STEP 14
Pick up 11B, skip the C bead, and go through the next 5B.
STEP 15
Pick up 1B, skip over the gap, and go through the next B. Work through to exit the B bead
before the D bead.
STEP 16
Pick up 5B, skip the D bead and go through the next B.
STEP 17
Pick up 1A and go through the B bead before the C.
STEP 18
Pick up 9B, skip the C bead, and go through the next B.
STEP 19
 Pick up 1A and go through the B bead before the D.
STEP 20
Pick up 5B, skip the D bead, and go through the next B.
STEP 21
Work through to exit the middle bead of the 11B added in Step 14.

Pick up 7B and an earwire and go through the B bead you were exiting again.

Retrace your thread path around the loop to strengthen it.


STEP 22
Work though to exit the last of the 5B added around the D bead.

Pick up 6B and go through the 1st of the 9B added around the C bead.
STEP 23
Work through to exit the last of the 9B around the C bead.

Pick up 6B and go through the 1st of the 5B around the D bead.

Work in and tie off your thread and tail left from the beginning.
