“ACADEMIC STRESS AND ACADEMIC SELF-EFFICACY OF
BIOLOGY STUDENTS IN THE COLLEGE OF TEACHER
EDUCATION ”. An Undergraduate Thesis. College of Teacher
Education. Agusan del Sur State College of Agriculture and
Technology, Bunawan, Agusan del Sur. Pp. ___

Adviser: VIVIAN C. PELIGRO, MAEd.

This study aimed to determine the significant relationship between

academic stress and academic self-efficacy of BSE-Biology students in the

college of teacher education in S.Y. 2018-2019. It utilized descriptive-

correlational survey method that is designed to determine if the

relationship between two variables is perfect or not. The data were

gathered through adapted questionnaires and were analysed using the

weighted mean and Pearson’s Product Moment Correlation (Pearson r).

The result revealed that the three (3) indicators of the level of academic

stress were all high. Also, the three (3) indicators of academic self-efficacy

were often manifested. It was also shown that academic stress and

academic self-efficacy had significant relationship to each other.

Therefore, academic stress and academic self-efficacy affects each other

due to some factors.
