APPLICATION!
A. Based from your answer in the Activity letter B, relate the
principles of home management on how your family members
performed their functions. (Describe with examples on how
your members performed their tasks based from principles of
Home Management)
1. Division of labor- my family members performed their
function through doing household chores individually
according to the order of my father. Example, when morning
came my younger sister do the cooking of rice, then when
afternoon came my youngest sister time to cook the rice and
when evening came it is my time to cook our rice.
2. Authority- my father has the right to authorize or give
orders in hour house. For example, he orders us to wash his
bag and cap.
3. Discipline- my father set a rule in our house like no using of
cellphone during eating time.
4. Unity of command- my father is only the one who can
command us to avoid misunderstanding. For like example, my
father orders my sister to wash his clothes and at the same
time my grandmother also order my sister to go in the city to
buy some things. My sister has a hard time to choose who
among the two orders will she obey.
GIRLYN GRACE RENTUZA ESAGA BTLED 2A

5. Unity of direction- when future came and I got married I

should be stay connected to my parents so that they can help
me in my problem and vice versa I can help them too.

6. Subordination- my father and mother have the most

sacrifices at home. For example, I need a big amount of
money in my school, so I told my mother or my father about it
and then they said that they have money but it is already
budgeted for our house
but because of me they sacrifice those money so that I can pay
to my school.
7. Renumeration- my sisters and I give our time, love and
attention to our parents so that we can repay their sacrifices
for us.
8. Centralization- when my mother and my father said that
they are going to break a part, the decision-making is largely
centralized between my father and my mother and to us.
9. Scalar Chain- my father disagrees of my outfit during our
party so he told my sister about it and order my sister to tell
me about it.
10. Order- my sister and I already know where our clothes are
and we already know everything in its place, where it should
be and how it should be.
GIRLYN GRACE RENTUZA ESAGA BTLED 2A

11. Equity- my father prepares a party during my debut and

when the debut of my sister came, he also prepares a party so
that no jealousy can exist.
12. Stability of tenure of personnel- when my father command
my sister to go in the city to buy some groceries but my sister
can’t go because she is sick, I volunteer myself to do the task.
13. Initiative- our parents allowing is to be a creative in our
self so that we can exert high levels of effort.
14. Esprit de corps- all my family members are very helpful to
each other. When one of my family members got a problem,
we will help him/her to solve its problem because we are
family, and we are a team.

GRAND FAMILY REUNION

My grandmother decided to have our grand family reunion and she assigned me to
manage it. So, the first thing that I will do is to gather my committee and then we will
find an exact location and date for our grand reunion. Then, I will send a questionnaire
to my family members to meet their needs and what they want during in our reunion.
Next, I will assign my committee what are they going to do like welcoming the guest,
handling the food and so on.
Then, I will organize my records about my contracts with the vendor I hired, the
updated registration information and the lodging details.
Next, I will plan the budget in preparing our grand reunion. I will write a letter to each
family describing the upcoming reunion and asking for a contribution to them. And I
will let them know how the money will be used.
Additionally, I will communicate with the attendees. I will send the invitation card
earlier. Also, I will include a family trivia in communicating with them. I will also
encourage them to send stories, ideas and updates for the mailing so that it can lead to
a better attendance for our upcoming grand reunion.
Then, I will prepare a back up plan in case of emergency like the unexpected weather
and etc.
I will share the family reunion theme in advance to my family members so that they
can design their costumes and also my committee can coordinate the food, decorations
and activities. And I will stick with themes that aren’t too elaborate so family members
can use what they have around the house or buy at party stores.
For our upcoming grand reunion, I will offer an activity for everyone for them to
getting reacquainted coz they’ve been out of touch for years. And for each activity, I
will assign someone to documents/take notes/hold a video camera so that we can
record the memories.
And lastly in our upcoming grand reunion, I will start it with an icebreaker activities
like welcoming committee greet arriving guests, I will create a blank family tree and
have each member fill in his information and others.
