Theme : The world around us (unit 2)/ Simple Past Tense

TEACHING OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the activities, students will be able to:
1. identify, repeat, memorize, and mention vocabularies concerning objects found
in countryside with the correct pronunciation and spelling.
2. identify, repeat, memorize, and mention vocabularies concerning verbs 2 with the
correct pronunciation and spelling.
3. identify the Simple Past Tense.
4. apply the Simple Past Tense in simple sentences.

1. Simple Past Tense

 Simple Past Tense digunakan untuk menyatakan kejadian atau kegiatan yang

terjadi di masa lampau atau sudah selesai dilakukan di masa lampau.

 Ada macam macam keterangan waktu yang sering muncul dalam kalimat

Simple Past Tense, seperti :

yesterday, two days ago, three days ago, a week ago, last night, last

month, last year.

 Dalam mempelajari Simple Past Tense, kita perlu mengenal macam macam

kata kerja (verbs) dalam bentuk lampau atau biasa dikenal sebagai verbs 2.

 Verb 2 terdiri dari 2 jenis, yaitu:

- Regular verbs 2 (kata kerja beraturan bentuk ke dua)

Dalam membentuk kata kerja beraturan (Regular Verbs 2), hanya perlu

menambahkan akhiran –d atau –ed pada kata kerja dasar nya.

 - Irregular verbs 2 (kata kerja tidak beraturan bentuk ke dua)

Dalam membentuk kata kerja tidak beraturan (Irregular Verbs 2), kita

perlu menghafal nya.

 Berikut adalah daftar kata kerja tidak beraturan (Irregular Verbs 2) yang

biasa dijumpai:

 Kalimat Positif

Subject + Verb 2

Contoh :
I went to Jakarta yesterday.
Subject Verb 2 dari “GO”
 Kalimat Negatif

Subject + did not + Verb 1

(I / You/ We/ They / He / She / It)

Contoh :

I did not eat pizza last night.
