To this e~d, the Punjab Higher Education Commission, through its various f~nd!ng and
scholarship programs, is offering opportunities to students and teachers of prov1nc1al HEls
to expose themselves to modern technologies, ideas, and developments in their fields,
around the globe, and bring novel solutions to local problems.

It is, however, observed that our students and faculty, despite having enormous potential
and innovative ideas, find scanty opportunities to bring their work to the fore and
showcase their s~ills and creativity on noted forums. Due to this, much of our scholars'
talent goes unnoticed and untapped without commercialization resulting into victims of a
phenomenon called 'brain waste'.

I am, therefore, pieased to inform you that PHEC is organizing an Innovation Expo during
October 2022. This event will offer a chance to see the local ·talent and encourage
students play their part in strengthening the knowledge economy of the country. If the
universities are interested to be a partner in this event, they can show their interest by
