Kim Brown = KB

Robin Black = RB

Pat Green = PG

Chris White = CW

KB - Hi guys! This is Kim Brown, assistant to Jean Chance,

calling. In the call, we have Robin Black, retail, Pat Green
from corporate and Chris White, M&A. Do you guys hear
me?

RB - Hello!

CW - Hi, yes I hear you.

KB - Good, and Pat? Are you there?

PG - …

KB - Pat?

RB - I think he’s on mute

PG - Ahh, I’m sorry. Yes, I’m here.

KB - Perfect. The reason I’m calling is that we have to book

in a meeting tomorrow at 8:30 and it is expected to last for
one hour. It is a very urgent matter.

PG - 8:30? No, that isn't going to happen. I have 10

trainees coming here at 8:45 and then a meeting with Lee at
9:15.

KB - You got to reschedule. As I said this is a very urgent

matter and the meeting must occur rst thing in the
morning.

PG - Reschedule with Lee Rock, the chiefs executive?

Haha, one does not simply reschedule with him.

RB - Well, I’m not able to attend either. I must pick up some

plane tickets as soon as the travel agent opens. That is,
8:30. And then, then. Ha! We have a meeting Chris!

CW - Yes, I know! Looking forward to it. And I have a

meeting with Jean later that day any way, can’t we just talk
about it then?

KB - Really? Have I not made myself clear? The meeting

must occur rst thing in the morning and I won’t take no for
an answer. This meeting will happen, okay? Are you really
prioritizing to pick up plane tickets? Send someone to do it
for you. And Chris and Robin, the meeting you will have
with each other, it doesn’t seem too important from my
perspective as you barely knew it was booked, does it?

CW - Hey, no need to be rude. What can possible be so

important that everyone has to clear their schedules?

KB - I’m sorry. I wasn’t meaning to. It is con dential as for

now and we can’t risk anyone knowing..

PG - So you don’t trust us now. What is this? Why should

we agree to reschedule without any information about what
the meeting is about what so ever?

KB - Stop misunderstanding everything I say. This is
important. And I think Lee will understand, so that isn’t
going to be a problem. Jean will call him within an hour to
make sure he’s up to date with what is happening.
Regarding the trainees, there must be someone else who
can meet them. Please. Say we can make this happen.

PG - Okay then. I’ll do it.

CW - Yeah, it is ne.

RB - How about my plane tickets? I have a taxi booked to

the o ce at 9:40 and that is at the last minute. So I must
leave to the airport then. But how will I get on my ight with
no tickets, Kim?

KB - Hmm, if you attend this meeting I’ll promise you that

I’ll pick up your tickets at the travel agent personally. Okay?

RB - Okay, thank you Kim. The meeting is on.

KB - Perfect, I’ll send you an email con rming the meeting.

Bye!

RB - Bye!

CW - Goodbye

PG - See you tomorrow.
