DeHaat is one of the fastest-growing start-ups in the Agri Tech industry and one of the very
few companies that offer comprehensive solutions and services to India's farming
community. They are developing AI-enabled technology to change the agricultural supply
chain and production efficiency. Currently, they operate in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, and
West Bengal, with over 1 million farmers in their service network. By 2024, they hope to
provide services to 5 million farmers.
i) Know your soil:- Understanding the Soil is the starting point - the nutrient content and
chemical makeup of the soil determine how fertile the soil is and what amount of plant life it
can consistently support and sustain.
They assist their farmers in obtaining a soil test from our testing laboratories or in bringing in
their existing soil health cards. Soil composition data points serve as the basis for selecting
the proper Agri Input (seed/fertilizer) and for generating advanced analytics, such as yield
projections and Personalized Advisory.

ii) Health & Growth:- There has never been a viable scientific method for making a realistic
prognosis, for the obvious reason that the yield-affecting factors — weather, pests, and
harvest timing – have proven impossible to anticipate.
Not any longer. With the advent of machine learning and related technologies, accurate yield
prediction now seems very possible, and we have been investing our time and energy in
developing technology solutions that will assist our member farmers in predicting their
produce and provide Market Access to institutional buyers whose operations depend on the
timely availability of high-quality produce.

iii) Agri Input:- The input material at the beginning of the agricultural cycle is the most
essential factor that defines the output's quality and quantity, and thus the farmer's income
and standard of living. There are significant gaps in the agri-input value chain as a result of a
mismatch between demand and supply, poor locally produced products, duplication,
adulteration, and black marketing of important products.
Frequently, farmers are misinformed about the type, formulation, and quantity of Seed,
Fertilizer, and Pesticide they should employ. Their goal is to deliver agro inputs of the right
kind, right Quality, and at the appropriate Price and Time.
Their comprehensive technological solutions for supply chain management enable us to give
direct cost savings to farmers of up to 15%, doorstep delivery of inputs, and post-sales
support with usage advice and crop monitoring as the growing season progresses.

iv) Advisory:- They seek to provide customised advice based on the specific farming
conditions of each individual farmer. The DeHaat Technology Platform allows users to send
reminder notifications in their native language regarding crop monitoring, weather, and
market conditions. Given that farmers are still less digitally connected and may prefer
human-to-human interaction, they also provide advisory services offline. A simple phone call
to our Call Center will yield a human operator's advice for farmers. Farmers may also visit
their neighbourhood DeHaat Center. Their technology solution integrates all services on a
single platform, including the final mile connection to the farmer's front door and the Agri
Inputs he needs for his next planting.
Farmers can overcome the challenges they face throughout the cultivation process with the
assistance of the DeHaat advisory team, whose members have an average of eight or more
years of detailed micro-level field experience and who offer a highly cost-effective module of
farmers’ advisory services in the local language.

v) Agri Output:- Agri Output is the cumulative result of nature's bounty and the ingenuity
and perseverance of farmers; however, this does not always translate into commensurate
financial rewards for the farmer.
Farmers and high-paying Institutional Buyers are hindered by a number of "middlemen" and
logistical obstacles, resulting in a lack of price transparency for farmers, price increases at
both ends due to multiple handling, and post-harvest losses. In this system, farmers do not
receive adequate prices for their produce at the farm gate.
This industry has vast potential for disruption and development enabled by technology. The
