in CONTEMPORARY PHILIPPINE ARTS FROM THE REGIONS
I. OBJECTIVE
A. Most Essential Learning Competency
A. Identifies various contemporary art forms and their practices from the
various regions. (CAR11/12AC-0a-1)
Specific Learning Outcomes:
After 60 minutes of teaching-learning process, the students are expected to:
-Define Contemporary arts. (knowledge)
- Explain the art forms and the development of Philippine Arts. (skills)
B. Key Behavioral Indicator (KBI)
The learners will recognize the value of critical thinking skills in defining and
explaining Contemporary Arts across its various art forms.
II. CONTENT
A. Topic: INTEGRATIVE ART AS APPLIED TO CONTEMPORARY ART.
B. Time Allotment: 40 minutes
GAD: Respect each other and individual’s unique idea in exploring the different various forms of
contemporary arts.
GEDSI: Respect gender preferences and social inclinations.
Contextualization: Students are encouraged to describe the form of integrated contemporary art in
their own locality.
DRRR: Students are encouraged to adhere to the safety protocols while doing face to face classes to
minimize risk of transmission.

The teacher will let the students discover the words behind
the jumbled letters.

2. Explore/Activity *Students will be grouped into four wherein they will find the
art forms (e.g. visual arts,
architecture and literature, theatre arts, dance, choreography
and music) and the development of
Philippine Art in three major traditions.
Group I – Ethnic Tradition
Group II – Spanish Colonial Tradition
Group III – American Colonial
Group IV – Contemporary Tradition

Assignment/ Enrichment: Search for an example of product of integrative art from the
Philippines.
