Answer the following:

1. Does zero net flux mean zero Electric field?

- Electric Flux is proportional to the number of electric field but it’s not the same both

ways.

Electric Field is represented as lines that passes through a surface. While Electric flux is

the rate of those lines as it travels straight to the surface.

Electric Field is always active, meaning it is always there. Electric flux depends on the

electric field for it to have a rating or value. We can say that Electric Field is

independent. Electric Flux can only be zero with the presence of electric field lines that

has same number that enters and leaves the surface.

2. Is right hand rule a big help for you? Why?

- Right hand rule is important as it enables to remember movement of electricity or

charges, the current and the path of magnetic field. Hand placement allows us to

familiarize with the kinds of position and pathways of charges and forces which is vital

especially when working with electricity.

- Finger positions that helps us identify both cases of straight and circular force motions

with respect to different objects present.

- Studying and memorizing this will turn out eventually as our 2 nd nature and will

definitely help us along our specific electric related field of work or studies.
3. What is electric charge?

- From the word electric that means there is an involvement of charges and current.

Electric charge is a property of matter that has a particle that can either be positive or

negative. This property causes objects to feel an attractive and repulsive toward each

other. Objects attracts when they have different charges while they repel when they

have the same type of charge. Positive charge is also called Proton. Negative charge

is called Neutron.

- An Ion is said to be positively charge when the number of its proton is greater than its

neutron also called Cation. This is because of an atom losing an electron.

- An Ion is said to be negatively charged when the number of its neutron is greater than

the proton also called Anion. This is because of an atom gaining a proton particle.

4. State Coulomb’s Law

- Coulomb’s Law is a force created between two charged objects. The force between

the objects can be positive or negative depending on whether the objects

are attracted to each other or repelled.

-When you have to charged particles, an electric force is created. If you have larger

ones, then you will also obtain stronger forces. It's a formula that measures the

electrical forces between two objects.

F=kq 1 q 2/¿
r2
¿

F = resulting force between the two charges.

r = radius of separation or the distance between the two charges.

q1 and q2 = amount of charge in each of the particles

k = the constant of the equation
