Good Citizenship

Reaction Paper

I've learned that good citizenship has a broader definition than what it appears to be
because simply stating that you live in the Philippines does not imply that you are a good citizen. To
be a good citizen, you must be familiar with all your country's key terms and information. Knowing
the significance of the Philippine flag's symbols, for instance, demonstrates your respect for the
nation’s flag. Paying taxes and being concerned about what is going on in your country are also
examples of how to be a good citizen. As we imprint the traits of a good citizen, we also develop
good characteristics that will help in our personal growth. This includes positive interpersonal
characteristics such as leadership, active listening, motivation, and self-awareness. I once saw a
Gordon B. Hinckley quote that said, "Every good citizen adds to the strength of the nation." When
you recognize your duty and responsibility as a citizen of your country, you will also recognize the
positive qualities within yourself because good citizenship reflects positive traits in oneself.
