Women in shackles

Society binds a woman in their mind in the way they believe she should be. Misconception and
prejudice cloud their minds, leading them to believe that a woman cannot possibly outsmart a man, an
absurd notion. Women should be considered architects of our society as we are the ones who create,
shape, and strengthen people's foundations, yet many still believe that our responsibilities are limited to
the home. Women should not be objectified. Be it sexual or physical, men should not clip one's wings as
they are not entitled to do so. Despite ample evidence that women are viewed as an unstoppable force, our
society cannot bear such thoughts and has chosen to attribute women's success to luck. A funny thing I
must say.
Women's rights must be irrevocably linked to human rights, no less. No one should impose or
disagree with a woman's choice. Choices must be made, not imposed. The right to make decisions about
their bodies, dress however they want, date whomever they want, pursue whatever they want, and be
respected for those decisions is freedom. Young girls want to be women with choices and a voice; a little
voice in the back of their heads that may go unnoticed, but if that voice is heard, it will serve its purpose,
which is to advocate for themselves. Do not be afraid to speak out against women's oppression. We fight
not only for ourselves but for others as well.
