Reflection about the subject GENDER AND SOCIETY

Gender and Society gave me new insights and perspectives on numerous gender-related issues

in our society. However, these issues ultimately extended beyond sex and gender. As we examined each

issue in greater depth, we were able to observe additional complexities. We discovered aspects of race,

the problematic media influence, and a variety of other factors as we carried this out.

I learned that gender roles and sexuality have been discussed. Some people have a different

understanding of gender. Some people believe that men are better than women and some people

believe that men are better than women. And over time, people's understanding of gender dominance

has changed. Women of this generation can now fight and use their voice to express their opinions

without people discriminating against them. Everyone realized that women too could do what people

thought only men could do. And sometimes women can be more reliable. I also learned that regardless

of gender, if you're comfortable doing what makes you happy, even if people say it's not right for you

and it goes against their beliefs, you should always follow your heart because that's totally okay.

I realized that researching, knowing and embracing gender and society and their diversity is

important because it is an important topic for everyone and knowing gives us information on how to

respond and deal with it. And as I understand others, I realized that each person has their own battle

that they fight every day. No one can say whether a person is truly happy. There are so many people

who are afraid to come out of their shell. Fear of judgment and rejection. I realized that every person we

meet should always be quite considerate and sensitive because we may not know what that person is

suffering from.
I have a lot of respect for the people who have fought for women's rights and the people who

are still fighting for it. Because without them, people will never understand what women are capable of.

I also appreciate those people who are brave enough to come out of their shell and comfort zone and

are not afraid of what people might say to them, because as long as they are happy and know that they

are not a danger to others.

In every society, women are anticipated to be womanlike, polite and nurturing. I realized that

women can also do things that people suppose only men can do. Women can also be mannish, strong

and fearless. And that's why they're the main drivers of social and profitable development, because

women do things briskly and increase both the quality and volume of human resources necessary for

social development. Men can also be womanlike, aseptic and sensitive because they too are mortal and

can do these things too. There's no law or policy that says men cannot be womanlike and true to

themselves.
