LEARNING

ACTIVITY 2

Reflect on the 12 little things we can do for our country acts of

patriotism give example each.

1st : Follow traffic rules. Follow the law

 The most fundamental laws in our country are those governing traffic. It may be the lowest type of
national discipline we can build as a people if we learn to obey them. A disciplined culture is critical
to our country's future success. We show our affection for our neighbor, the Filipino, whenever we
respect traffic regulations. I've always followed traffic rules since I was in primary school since I
knew it was for my own protection. And, up until now, I've always followed the rules of the road.
Even in a simple way, this demonstrates how disciplined we are.
Example:
When we cross in a walking line, there is a signal that says if the walking signal is on, we can only
cross since the cars are stopped.

2nd : Always ask for an official receipt

 By requesting ORs, we may expect a better tax receipt, which implies more funds for our
government, which can help to improve our economy and propel us forward. When we assist our
government in assisting our people, we are demonstrating our love for our neighbor. This also
reflects how responsible and attentive we are, because another benefit of requesting an official
receipt is that it can be used to lawfully reduce or eliminate tax liabilities. Because the official
receipt can be deducted from sales as an expense, your company's tax obligations will be reduced
as a result of lower net income.
 Example:
When we buy items with a high value, such as appliances at any department store, we always want
a receipt since it is required when the item is damaged and there is a warranty. We also require a
receipt for them to prove and believe that we purchased the item.

3rd : Don’t buy smuggled goods. Buy Local. Buy Filipino

 Our money should be used to assist our economy, not those of other nations. Purchasing Pilipino signifies
that you are helping the Filipino people. We express our affection for our neighbors whenever we support
one another as Filipinos. This one reflects my life and how we support our fellow men, as we might
support them in their businesses by acquiring and sharing their goods. Also, I believe in the adage
"Tangkilikin ang saraling atin," which encourages Filipinos to appreciate our culture and the items we
have, which can benefit our economy.
Example:
One example is when we buy food items and look for the cheapest option that is also of great quality, such
as our local goods, because our food products or cuisine is incomparable to others.
4th : Speak positively about us and our country
 Every Filipino is a representative of our nation. Every one of us is a salesman for our country, no
matter where we are. We express our love for our neighbors whenever we talk favorably of our
folks. People in the Philippines, including ourselves, are caring; we care for tourists and our
fellow Filipinos and we are also creative, as evidenced by our festivals and arts and sculpture;
and we are also very kind, we care not just for our own comfort but also for the comfort of
others. Our country is a free country, so we can do and say whatever we want, but we must
remain sensitive at all times. It also reflects my life in that we must complement everyone rather
than criticize or judge them. Because it will represent our culture and the way our parents raised
us. Though, as Filipinos, we should stand by everyone and remain cheerful and sensitive to the
feelings of others.
Example:
When someone joins an international competition, we must support them and give them positive
feedback to urge them to perform their best.

5th : Respect your traffic officer, policeman & other public servants
 An individual is honored and dignified when he is treated with respect. It motivates him to do a
good job. When we respect people in positions of authority, we show love for our neighbors.
And this reflects how I approach and honor public servants, knowing how difficult their job is
and how dedicated they are to it. Furthermore, the traffic officer is in charge of all passing cars
and is in charge of directing traffic. Police officers assist us in apprehending criminals and
assisting us when we are in need. We must respect them because they have the courage to do
their work, even though it is perilous at times. If we failed to follow the rules of the road, for
example, we should apologize to them. They are here to assist us and are concerned about our
safety.
Example:
One situation is when we are driving down the road and a police officer gives us notice that we are
speeding and asks us to stop and check if we have a license, which we must do because it is their
duty, and also warns us to slow down in congested areas.

6th : Throw your garbage properly. Segregate. Recycle. Conserve

 The Philippines is the country that has been bestowed upon us as a people. It is the cradle of
our people. It is where the Filipinos call home. We should maintain it looking nice. We
demonstrate our affection for our people by keeping our environment and country clean.
Because the environment is polluted and the Earth's ozone layer is harmed, this reflects me
simply at home in properly disposing of our garbage. Knowing that too much garbage and
inappropriate garbage management and disposal are to blame for the deterioration of the
situation. People are contributing to the toxic environment we live in through recycling.
7th : Support your Church
 When we assist our church, we are assisting our Creator in His earthly efforts. We show love for our
neighbor whenever we assist our church. This reflects to me as a Christian since the church encourages
people to go to church to show love and support for our creator, and while we pray at the church, we also
show love for our neighbors. Supporting the church is more than just a financial commitment; it is also a
responsibility to help maintain and improve the church, which is where we worship our Almighty God.
Supporting the church with all of one's heart and soul is the finest because it is our obligation as Christians
to do so, as well as to urge our fellow men to do so. Despite the fact that there are many religions, we must
know how to support our church and appreciate what we do.
Example:
One example is when we volunteer to assist clean the church every Saturday because it is the day before
mass and church. In addition, assisting monetarily in the purchase of necessities for the church as well as other
workers is one of our duty to do.

8th : During elections, do your solemn duty

 When we compete for our votes, we are fighting for our right as a people and a nation to choose our own
destiny. When we elect competent leaders for our country and people, there is love of neighbor. As a
registered voter in our country, I believe that honesty, rather than a master's or doctorate degree, is what
establishes credibility. And because it is a leader's link to the people, credibility is crucial. It is what
causes people to look in one direction, have a common vision, and act in a consistent manner. In a
nutshell, people follow the leader because of his or her credibility. It is both our responsibility and right to
vote for the most deserving candidate to lead the country. Even though there are temptations such as vote
buying (which most of us do for the money), it is still in our hands to vote for what is good and righteous.
Since one vote is crucial because it will have an impact on our future.
Example:
9th : Pay your employees well
 A company's success must benefit not only its owners, but also its employees. Blessings must be shared
with others. It aids in the formation of families. It is the foundation of our country. When we regard and
treat our employees fairly, there is neighborly affection. No exercise is better for the human heart than
reaching down and lifting someone else up, hence every owner and supervisor should treat their staff
properly. This is how a successful life is defined. For success is measured by how many times we have
shown love and kindness to others, not by our earthly possessions. Because I also believe that high
compensation is one of the most efficient strategies to attract these folks. Offering a higher-than-average
wage will aid in attracting a players who can have a substantial impact on your company's bottom line.
The truth is that greater salaries tend to encourage a high-output culture. People are typically compelled
to put in more work when they believe they are being paid more than their peers at other organizations.
They will put in more effort to show that they are deserving of the money. Raising employee pay isn't
simply a way to make people happier and it's also an investment in a more productive and high-quality
Company.
Example:
One situation is when a person is working hard, and as a manager or owner, we must recognize how
difficult their job is, which is why we must compensate them appropriately. It's essential to treat them and
give them bonuses from time to time.

10th : Pay your taxes

 Our government's lifeblood is taxes. It's what makes our public schools, hospitals, and highways
possible. It is how our teachers, soldiers, and other public servants are compensated. When we pay our
taxes on time so that our government can aid more people, we show love for our neighbors. This also
affects tax payers, as I understand it, with P83 billion collected from individual income taxes in 2003.
However, 91 percent of this money came from government and private sector salaried workers, who had
little choice because their income taxes were withheld automatically. Only P7 billion of the P83 billion
came from entrepreneurs and professionals such as doctors, lawyers, accountants, and architects, to
name a few. Because there are advantages to paying taxes, such as Tuition and fees, medical
expenditures, charity contributions, and state income taxes are among the most commonly claimed
.

11th : Adopt a scholar or a poor child

 Investing in our kids is an investment in the future of our country. Every wealthy family should adopt one
impoverished child as a scholar. When we help a child acquire an education, we are showing compassion
for our neighbors. Every adoptive parent can make a difference in our country's future by making a
difference in the lives of children. This has a big impact on me since I'll most likely adopt a scholar to
assist him or her achieve their goals, but I also want him or her to learn about value so that when they're
older, they can help the poor. Though family isn't always defined by blood, it may also refer to people
who need family and a desire to aid the less fortunate so that we can love and care for them.
Example:
One instance is when the parents are unable to bear children and decide to adopt because they really want
a kid.

.
12th : Be a good parent.
 For every parent out there teach your children to appreciate our country. If we start sowing the seeds
of patriotism in the hearts and minds of our youth today, they will one day grow up to be huge patriots
for our nation. When we teach and grow our children to be patriotic by loving our country by loving
our people, we are teaching and raising them to love their neighbors. This also has a big impact to
every parent since being able to teach your children to obey the law and to love our country children of
