Evidence: What will have happened by then?

You are going to think carefully about the future. You need to consider a few
topics and, then, describe the events that will have happened by certain time
around these topics.

For this evidence, you will need to complete two parts. For Part A, you need to
write three texts describing your expectations around some of the most
important sport events that take place during a year time. Then, for Part B, you
will have to record a tape in which you talk about your own future in relation to
certain professional and personal aspects.

Let’s begin!

Part A

Look at the following calendar. It shows four important sport events that will take
place next year. You will need to write a text in which you predict the results for
each of the sporting majors.

Now, write three texts that include your sporting predictions for three of the
sporting events in the calendar. You can carry out a little research about each of
the events in order to gather information before writing; or, you can also be very
imaginative and create the whole setting for each of your writings. One example
has been done for you.
The Super Bowl
By February 1st next year, one of the most
important events in the world of sport, The
Super Bowl, will have taken place in Arizona
(USA). I’m sure the New England Patriots, will
win the Super Bowl next year because they
have had a great season so far. Their
Quarterback, Tom Brady, has had some very
good games during the regular season and the
team has beaten several big rivals; such as the
Green Bay Packers and the Denver Broncos.
The playoffs will take place in January. I think
that by mid-January the Patriots will have
beaten the Broncos again in order to reach the
final. I believe the Packers, another great team,
will be on the final by February 1st, too;
however, as the Patriots are the most
consistent of teams, I am sure that by the end
of the day, they will have won the big game and
will be crowned Super Bowl champions.
Wimbledon
this great event takes place between June
27 and July 10 at the All England Club,
London. Wimbledon 2022 promises to
deliver world-class acting and intense
drama. Although I am not very passionate
about this sport, it is interesting to
investigate who I think is more likely to win,
taking into account that he has been
crowned champion in the years 2011,
2014, 2015, 2018, 2019, 2021, it is Novak
Djokovic I think he promises to be crowned
champion this time.
Augusta - The Championships (Golf)
The World Series (Baseball)
Augusta – The Championship
The first major of the season, the Augusta
Masters 2022, will be held from Thursday, April
7 to Sunday, April 10 at the Augusta National
Golf Club (Georgia, United States). Considering
that Tiger Woods is considered one of the
greatest golfers of all time, along with Jack
Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer, I think he will be
crowned champion, considering that he
currently has 15 majors, thus becoming the
second player with the who wins the most
majors in the history of golf, I think he is the one
who most promises to win this title.
Tiger Woods will do so starting at 16:34.
Thirteen months after the serious traffic
accident that almost cost him his life, he will be
at the Augusta National Golf Club (Georgia,
United States). In addition, with clear intentions
of giving promising War, for these reasons I
would believe that this is the future champion of
the Masters of Augusta 2022.
The World Series
The 2022 MLB regular season begins on April 7
and ends on October 5. Although all the teams
have more than 160 games left to play, in
addition to the postseason, I think there is a
clear favorite to be proclaimed champion, these
are the Los Angeles Dodgers. I say this
because the Los Angeles Dodgers have the
best line to be the next champion of the 2022
World Series, taking into account that they have
several titles including the WORLD SERIES
1955, 1959, 1963, 1965, 1981, 1988, 2020, for
this reason I list them as the possible winners of
the MLB.
Part B

Read the following topics. Think carefully about all the aspects concerning you
future in relation to the topics on the list. Then, structure a short talk (about 3
minutes) in which you express your predictions about each of the topics in
mention.

 Your plans for this evening.

 Your plans for the rest of the week.
 Your next birthday.
 How your life will be different in the years’ time.

Now, record your tape. Describe each of the events you predicted
chronologically based on the order in which each of the situations will happen.
Be as creative as possible.
