Evidence: What will have happened by then?

You are going to think carefully about the future. You need to consider a few
topics and, then, describe the events that will have happened by certain time
around these topics.

For this evidence, you will need to complete two parts. For Part A, you need to
write three texts describing your expectations around some of the most
important sport events that take place during a year time. Then, for Part B, you
will have to record a tape in which you talk about your own future in relation to
certain professional and personal aspects.

Let’s begin!

Part A

Look at the following calendar. It shows four important sport events that will take
place next year. You will need to write a text in which you predict the results for
each of the sporting majors.

The Super Bowl (American Football) Augusta - The Championships (Golf)

Wimbledon (Tennis) The World Series (Baseball)
Now, write three texts that include your sporting predictions for three of the
sporting events in the calendar. You can carry out a little research about each of
the events in order to gather information before writing; or, you can also be very
imaginative and create the whole setting for each of your writings. One example
has been done for you.
The Super Bowl
By February 1st next year, one of the most
important events in the world of sport, The
Super Bowl, will have taken place in Arizona
(USA). I’m sure the New England Patriots, will
win the Super Bowl next year because they
have had a great season so far. Their
Quarterback, Tom Brady, has had some very
good games during the regular season and the
team has beaten several big rivals; such as the
Green Bay Packers and the Denver Broncos.
The playoffs will take place in January. I think
that by mid-January the Patriots will have
beaten the Broncos again in order to reach the
final. I believe the Packers, another great team,
will be on the final by February 1st, too;
however, as the Patriots are the most
consistent of teams, I am sure that by the end
of the day, they will have won the big game and
will be crowned Super Bowl champions.
Wimbledon
By June 28 to July 11 we can enjoy the
Wimbledon Championships in the grass courts
of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet
Club, located in Wimbledon (United Kingdom),
one of the four tennis grand slams
tournaments, and whose current champion is
Novak Djokovicen , it was his 19th men's Grand
Slam Singles title and his ninth Wimbledon title,
both historical records. I think he will have could
win again; his rivals are Andy Murray and
Rafael Nadal. Simona Halep was the winner of
the Ladies' Singles in 2020. it was her second
women's Grand Slam Singles title and his first
Wimbledon title after having previously reached
the final in 2017. I supound that she will have a
good competion, but other player will have won
the tournment.
Part B
Augusta – The
Championship
By April in the first week, it returns the
traditional appointment with its luxury streets,
and its green fields, one of the most important
events in the world of golf, The Master
Tournament also known like The US Masters,
and undoubtedly one of the favorites in the
world. It will have needed place in Augusta,
Georgia. I am sure that the number one in the
world golf and the defending champion Bryson
Dechambeau, will have wined again, after the
notable absence of the American star Tiger
Woods, winner of five green jackets, the last
one in 2019. Bryson Dechambeau, will have a
good performance this year when facing
Dustin Johnson. The level of the roses is
rising, they are rivals, they will have a good
game and it will have a good tournament this
year.
The World Series
By October 20-27 during the fall season in
North America (and occasionally in November)
is the World Series of Major League Baseball
North America, between the champions of the
American League, Tampa Bay Rays, and of
the National League. I will have seen this
teams in the final, Cleveland's Indians, New
York Yankees, Houston Astros, Boston Red
Sox and in the second knockout stage the
Washington, Chicago Nationals Cubs, Los
Angeles Dodgers, Arizona Diamondbacks.
Read the following topics. Think carefully about all the aspects concerning you
future in relation to the topics on the list. Then, structure a short talk (about 3
minutes) in which you express your predictions about each of the topics in
mention.

 Your plans for this evening.

 Your plans for the rest of the week.
 Your next birthday.
 How your life will be different in the years’ time.

Now, record your tape. Describe each of the events you predicted
chronologically based on the order in which each of the situations will happen.
Be as creative as possible.
