Evidence: What will have happened by then?

You are going to think carefully about the future. You need to consider a few
topics and, then, describe the events that will have happened by certain time
around these topics.

For this evidence, you will need to complete two parts. For Part A, you need to
write three texts describing your expectations around some of the most
important sport events that take place during a year time. Then, for Part B, you
will have to record a tape in which you talk about your own future in relation to
certain professional and personal aspects.

Let’s begin!

Part A

Look at the following calendar. It shows four important sport events that will take
place next year. You will need to write a text in which you predict the results for
each of the sporting majors.

Now, write three texts that include your sporting predictions for three of the
sporting events in the calendar. You can carry out a little research about each of
the events in order to gather information before writing; or, you can also be very
imaginative and create the whole setting for each of your writings. One example
has been done for you.
The Super Bowl
By February 1st next year, one of the most
important events in the world of sport, The
Super Bowl, will have taken place in Arizona
(USA). I’m sure the New England Patriots, will
win the Super Bowl next year because they
have had a great season so far. Their
Quarterback, Tom Brady, has had some very
good games during the regular season and the
team has beaten several big rivals; such as the
Green Bay Packers and the Denver Broncos.
The playoffs will take place in January. I think
that by mid-January the Patriots will have
beaten the Broncos again in order to reach the
final. I believe the Packers, another great team,
will be on the final by February 1st, too;
however, as the Patriots are the most
consistent of teams, I am sure that by the end
of the day, they will have won the big game and
will be crowned Super Bowl champions.
Wimbledon
By July 2nd to July 15th, we can enjoy the
Championships, Wimbledon in London is
one of the four grand slams tennis
tournaments, and the current champion is
Roger Federer in Gentlemen’s singles, it
was his nineteenth Grand Slam Men's
Singles title and his eighth Wimbledon
title, both all-time records. I think he can
win again; his rivals are Andy Murray,
Rafael Nadal. Garbiñe Muguruza was the
winner of the Ladies' Singles in 2017. It
was her second Grand Slam Women's
Singles title and her first title at
Wimbledon after previously having
reached the final in 2015

By the first full week of April next
year,one of the most events in the world
ofgolf, The Master Tournament also
known as The US Masters, will have
taken
place in Augusta, Georgia, I am sure
Sergio Garcia can win again The US
Masters next year, because he has a
good performance this year but, Justin
Rose level is rising, they are rivals, when
Sergio won the match of 2017, they will
have a good game and it will be a good
tournament next year.
The World Series
By October during the fall season in
North America (and occasionally in
November) is the world series of Major
League Baseball I North America, it is
between the American league champion
and the National League champion team,
in the 2017 the 113th edition can be seen
in YouTube TV, we are waiting for the
both teams In the final, they can be in the
first Knockout stage are Cleveland
Indians, New York Yankees, Houston
Astros, Boston Red Sox in the second
break and in the second Knockout stage
are Washington Nationals, Chicago
Cubs, Los Angeles Dodgers, Arizona
Part B

Read the following topics. Think carefully about all the aspects concerning you
future in relation to the topics on the list. Then, structure a short talk (about 3
minutes) in which you express your predictions about each of the topics in
mention.

 Your plans for this evening.

 Your plans for the rest of the week.
 Your next birthday.
 How your life will be different in the years’ time.

For the tape:

My name is Magally González and I live in the city of Cali. Tonight is rainy and
my plans for it are to watch movies and eat hot dog with homemade popcorn in
the company of my two daughters.

For the rest of this week, my plans include that on Monday I will be very early
exercising in the gym and later I will go out to do some banking errands and
then in the afternoon I will be fulfilling work commitments.

On Tuesdays and Wednesdays I will dedicate myself to mainly work-related

activities as a sena instructor, however on Wednesday morning I will also be
training in the gym. For Thursday I have planned to play volleyball in the
afternoon and on Friday again work activities with my students. Regarding
Saturday, I plan to rest and dedicate myself to family-type activities.

On the other hand, I tell you that for my next birthday I am planning a trip to San
Andres in the company of my two daughters. My birthday will be August 30th
and I plan to leave from the 28th of that same month, returning on September
1st. Once I return from the trip I will be sharing with special people and friends.

In the next few years my life will be different in that I aspire to have total
economic and emotional stability that I enjoy with the people around me and
that I always try to improve in all aspects of life.

Now, record your tape. Describe each of the events you predicted
chronologically based on the order in which each of the situations will happen.
