2 Unscrew bolts (17a, 17b) and remove
leaf springs (17)
3 Use pliers to pull modulating pressure
control solenoid valve (Y3/6y1) and shift modulating pressure control solenoid
pressure control solenoid valve (Y3/6y2) valve (Y3/6y1) and on shift pressure
out of shift plate (16)
4 Use pliers to pull 1-2 and 4-5 shift
solenoid valves (Y3/6y3), 3-4 shift
solenoid valve (Y3/6y4) and 2-3 shift
solenoid valve (Y3/6y5) out of shift plate

5.1 Remove electric control unit (Y3/6) from
shift plate (16).
5.2 Bend retaining lug on stiffening rib on
oil-temperature sensor to one side and
remove electric control unit (Y3/6) from
shift plate (16)
Retaining lug added to electrohydraulic
control unit
6 Disassemble shift plate (16)
7 Assemble in reverse order

length of bolts (17a, 17b).

control solenoid valve (Y3/6y2),
replace if necessary.

Installation: Check O-rings on 1-2
and 4-5 shift solenoid valves (Y3/6y3),
3-4 shift solenoid valve (Y3/6y4) and
2-3 shift solenoid valve (Y3/6y5),
replace if necessary.

Installation: Make sure that the
two centering pins of the electric
control unit (Y3/6) engage in the shift
plate (16).
