Note : If both parts of the sentence have the following structure “was/were + ing” the
connector will always be “while” . It means both actions happened at the same time.
In the other hand, if one part of the sentence is written in “past continuous” and the other
in “past simple”, the connector will be “when”. It means “past simple” interrupted the
other action.
