5. Realizar cuestionario (preguntas y respuestas) - 15

preguntas
1) What is a characteristic of the tectonics of plates ?
An essential feature of plate tectonics is that only the outer shell of
the Earth.
2) How long does stay rigid lithosphere?
the lithosphere, remains rigid during intervals of geologic time.

3) Each long rock of the crust is deformed?

This deform on time scales of up to 109 years.
4) How flows the rock within the crust?
The rock beneath the lithosphere flows like a fluid.
5) How are defined the lower limit of the lithosphere?
Is defined to be an isotherm (surface of constant temperature).

6) How they are rocks below this isotherm?

Are sufficiently hot to readily deform.

7) What is the thickness of the ocean basins under the

lithosphere?
Has a thickness of about 100 km

8) What is the thickness of the lithosphere below the

continents?
Beneath the continents the thickness is about twice this value.

9) That percentage represents the lithosphere of the

radius of the Earth?
The lithosphere is only 2 to 4% of the radius of the Earth
10)How divides the lithosphere?
This shell is broken up into a number of plates that are in relative
motion with respect to one another.
11)That displaces the water of sea level?
The volume occupied by the ocean

12)Does how long the rate of spread of the seabed was

30%?
In the Cretaceous (≈80 Ma).

13)How many meters of difference have the rate of spread

of the sea now and make 80 MA?
Was about 200 m higher than today

14)What are the ridges in the ocean?

Are the sites of a large fraction of the Earth’s volcanism.

15)How do volcanic processes in oceanic ridges have

been revealed?
By exploration using submersible vehicles.

6. Escribe tu opinión personal del Tema.

The lithosphere is the part of greater interest to the life on the Earth,
since this develops the activities made by man throughout his life,
which is divided into plates, which are in constant interaction and
movement, are in charge of generating geological phenomena, such
as earthquakes and volcanic eruptions, and the creation of large rocky
areas and valleys.

7. Preparar PPP o video 3-5 minutos con imagenes,

videos, etc.
