friendly fun and football festivities. The
Fan Zone at Glasgow Green will be the
beating heart of the city’s celebrations
and a welcoming venue where all
aspects of the football tournament,
sport activities, culture, health and
wellbeing, and an array of food and
drink can be enjoyed by football fans
and families alike in a COVID-secure
environment. Open for the full duration
of the Tournament, the Fan Zone will
bring vibrancy back to the city and
provide an opportunity for visitors and
the people of Scotland to come together
and experience the excitement of EURO
2020 and, hopefully, celebrate some
momentous results on the pitch!

Get ready to celebrate at the EURO 2020 Fan Zone
You don’t have to get into Hampden Park
to enjoy the EURO 2020 atmosphere
in Glasgow this summer. Every day
during the tournament, Glasgow Green
is playing host to a fantastic Fan Zone
Festival. Tickets are free, and everyone’s
invited!
The Fan Zone is for fans and families
to gather and enjoy a brilliant festival
atmosphere, in safe and COVID secure
surroundings. As well as screened live
matches with seating, there’ll be music,
comedy, cinema, food and drink and
more, all centred around a spectacular
10 metre Festival Tower. You can even
get involved in the sporting action, with
family-friendly activities on and around
a multi-use pitch. The fun continues
even on days when there’s no match
action, with an exciting outdoor cultural
programme.
To allow for safe physical distancing
and to control numbers, entry is by
ticket only. Tickets for the Fan Zone are
free, though there is a charge for some
Festival performances. All members
of a booking for the F&B Garden must
enter at the same time. People arriving
separately will not be granted entrance
and a ticket for the Family Area is needed
for each individual attending, regardless
of age. Please note that last entry time
is one hour before the end of the session.
Where?
The Fan Zone is on Glasgow Green, on
the banks of the River Clyde and a short
walk from the city centre. Plenty of rail
and subway stations, and bus stops, are
nearby. Keep up to date and plan your

Area
If UEFA EURO 2020 inspires you to get
active, the Family Area has something
for everyone.
A range of sports will be on offer,
including basketball, badminton and
of course – football! This area boasts
a purpose-built 3G sports pitch and a
multi-sport zone.
You can also try your hand at mini-golf
on our 9-hole course.
The Family Area has limited food
and non-alcoholic drinks available to
purchase.
Please note, cultural events are only
viewable from the Food and Beverage
Garden.

When will the Fan Zone
be open?
Glasgow is proud to be one of 11
European host cities confirmed by
UEFA for the EURO 2020 tournament.
As part of Glasgow’s UEFA EURO 2020
celebrations, Hampden Park will stage
four matches (14, 18, 22 and 29 June)
and Glasgow Green will host a Fan
Zone for the 31 day duration of the
tournament (11 June – 11 July).
How will the Fan Zone
operate?
To comply with COVID secure guidelines
the Fan Zone will operate for two
sessions per day to maximise the number
of people who can safely attend, with a
gap in between to allow time for egress,
cleaning and entry to the second session.
Times vary slightly depending on the
match schedule but will be approximately
12:00hrs – 15:30/16:00hrs and
16:30/17:00hrs – 22:00hrs.
What is the capacity of the
Fan Zone?
There will be two sessions per day with
a capacity of up to 3,000 people largely
seated in groups of six.
Do I need a COVID test?
We are strongly encouraging all ticket
holders and their groups to take a rapid
lateral flow test before attending the
Fan Zone to help stop the spread of
COVID-19. This should be taken at home
less than 48 hours before attending,
and you should self-isolate with your
household and seek a confirmatory PCR
test if your result is positive.

Be Prepared
To enter the venue, you will pass through
a ticket check and security screening,
which will include a bag and person
search. A person search will be by use of
a hand-held metal detector to minimise
close contact. Items such as bags in
excess of 25 litres e.g. a small rucksack,
commercial photography equipment,
noise-making instruments, glass
containers, bulk food, balls, inflatable
items and alcoholic beverages are not
allowed on the venue. There will also be
some restrictions on items such as flags
and poles, which can’t be over 1mx2m
and no large umbrellas. Make sure you
check the full list before you arrive.
Avoid bags
For faster access, don’t bring a bag. If it’s
essential, bags should be no more than
25 litres in size e.g. a small rucksack and
limited to one per person. Bags will be
searched upon entry. Remember there
are no cloakrooms or storage facilities
available.
