INTRODUCTION
Improved street light in the neighborhood effectively helps to prevent crime
rates and helps to increase police presence in the area. In the streets of
Bulasan, Barangay Mauway, Mandaluyong city–residents often demand
improved street lighting in the area, and a recent inspection and examining,
shows that improved lighting does reduce crime.

Providing an alternative and converting to environmentally friendly lights

instead of using a standard street light, on the other hand, will undoubtedly help
the area with their lighting problem. Solar lights absorb and use free, renewable
energy from the sun. Solar lights are less expensive, easier to install and
maintain, and come in a range of fixture forms.

Summary of Action Plan Activities
Street lighting helps every community to guide its residents into safety. Every resident should not be
afraid of wandering around their area and should be able to go home without trouble. However, providing
an alternative and switching into environmentally friendly steps will help the community more.

In a span of 2 and a half months our groups should implement street solar lighting in our
neighborhood. We'll start by talking to residents to ensure that everyone's permission and consideration is
given. A formal letter will be written and distributed to our local barangay, as well as to our local mayor.
We will look for our possible sponsors that can help us gain a budget to provide manpower for the
installation of the solar street lights. Upon exploring for a budget, the literal action will be processed. The
lights will be installed, and an evaluation and testing will be performed to check for potential failure.
