Explain how the knowledge of the principles in human development shall help the following:

2. Student Evaluation
3. Educational Curriculum
According to Harold Stevenson, “Development psychology is concerned with the study to
changes in behavior through the life span”. According to Libert, Poulus, “Development refers to a
process of change in growth and capability over time, as function of both maturation and
interaction with the environment”.
In instruction the knowledge of principles in human development shall help through giving the
right information to the growth and development. It also helps in providing the human being a way
of knowing and protecting one’s behavior and one self from himself or from others.
In student evaluation the knowledge of principles in human development shall help through
giving various activities that would help the student grow and development mentally and
physically.
Also, in educational curriculum the knowledge of principles in human development shall hep
through implementing rules and regulations in providing good quality education and good self
enhancement or growth.
Above all, development is a series of orderly progression of change towards maturity. Growth
refers to improvement in structure but development signifies improvement in structure as well as
improvement in functioning of various parts of the body.
