 the digestive system and its interaction with the circulatory, respiratory, and excretory systems in
providing the body with nutrients for energy
 diseases that result from nutrient deficiency and ingestion of harmful substances, and their
prevention and treatment

The learners should be able to:

 present an analysis of the data gathered on diseases resulting from nutrient deficiency

“This morning, we will learn the diseases resulting from

nutrient deficiency and ingestion of harmful substances”

“But before that we must know how important our health

is. Health is very important to enjoy life. Health problems

can affect our ability and freedom to move, to work, to

create, to play, to enjoy food and life’s other pleasure; to

remember things, and to have family and friends.”

“To take care for body we must know and be aware the

essential nutrients for life.”

“Food contains nutrients that must be present in your

diet.”

“But if we don’t take or we take less of these nutrients or

we call it nutrient deficiency, these are the possible

diseases that will occur.”
