Imagine there is a fairy godmother who can give the foods you wish to eat every day.
Write those foods in the scroll.
D. Lesson Proper
1. Pre – Activity
Discussion:
Discuss the topic using these guide questions:
What is nutrition?
What food do the students usually eat?
What are the five food groups?
What nutrients can we get from the different food groups?
How often should we eat foods from such food groups?
Why do adolescents need healthy food and good nutrition?
2. Activity Proper
The students will answer the activity presented by the teacher. They have
to collaborate with their partners in order to finish first.
3. Post – Activity
The teacher will check and answer the activity. The first five pairs to
submit their papers and answer the activity correctly will gain a prize.

F. Application
Healthy eating during adolescence is important as body changes during this time
affect an individual's nutritional and dietary needs. Teens are becoming more
independent and making many food decisions on their own. Many teens have a
growth spurt and an increase in appetite and need healthy foods to meet their needs.
Adolescents need more nutrients than adults because they gain at least 40 percent of
their adult weight and 15 percent of their adult height during this period. Inadequate
intake can lead to delayed sexual development and slower linear growth (Jacob and
Nair 2012).

Directions: Read each item carefully. In your notebook write the letter of your answer.
V. Assignment
Directions: Select one (1) among the suggested activities below which you think is easy
for you to accomplish. You may use short bond paper and coloring materials.
1. You are a rapper. Compose a 3 stanza Rap intended for adolescent like you which
promotes the right foods to eat during adolescence.
2. You are an artist, make Infographics /drawing about the right foods during
adolescence including the guidelines on food preparation.
3. You are an independent blogger. Make a short blog about proper food intake of an
adolescent like you. Send your work in your teacher’s Facebook account.
