Final Project – Draft 3

Name of the company: SweetVision.

1) Where are you going to export? Choose a non-English nor Spanish speaking country. Why?

South Korea because Fruits are highly valued, it's a country that doesn't have much

variety of fruits. For them, cherries, blueberries, grapes, plums and peaches are a luxury

and so are not available to everyone.

It is very common for locals to serve their loved ones and guests with fruits like fresh

cherries as a midday snack. Since there are more older people than children in their

population, they choose to consume fruits as they provide a great antioxidant boost and

also work to reduce post-exercise muscle pain.

1. What cultural aspects you should consider (language, gifts, invitations, behavior) give

reasons and examples (use vocabulary from unit 7).

- Social customs: It is important to consider the social customs of the South Korean

population because this will allow us to know the use and destination that they will give

to the product. Within this consideration, it is important to pay attention to both their

behavior and attitude in everyday life since in this way the product can be entered into

the market in a respectful, useful and exciting way.

Behavior and attitudes: The South Korean population has a behavior in their daily life in

an informal way of preferring and consuming fresh and small brightly colored fruits,

others tend to occupy these to make sugar desserts in a simple way but they usually

gather the family in process. Regarding cherries, these have a more special meaning
than other fruits and are found in formal situations, for the population to give or

receive them means health, prosperity, affection and fun, that is why they integrate a

positive attitude to this product.

- Traditions: It is helpful to consider the South Korean traditions of both the population

and the entrepreneurs, since the objective is to reach them in the most efficient way

and to create a relationship of trust. Regarding the population, it usually delivers

cherries in a box for people who are ill both at home to their family and individually,

even people leave it in the hospital if the person is there. Being locally the traditions

expand as the example previously mentioned, they are usually given away on birthdays,

celebrations and music festivals in summer, all this in boxes, which is important to

consider since the way in which people traditionally use it is in such container,

important then for example for the company to pay attention to the design and size of

the final sale product for a positive reception. The product must then be red, white and

gold since these are the most appreciated in giving gifts, as well as the material must be

resistant and durable so that it can be given.

On the other hand, the traditions of South Korean entrepreneurs are to buy in advance

for specific dates, some even send a representative to check the plantations in the

country of origin, this is very important since when they arrive they expect to have a

close and trustworthy relationship, hoping to be communicated not only about the

business but also the work environment. These entrepreneurs buy in large quantities so

they appreciate constant communication and not just a sale on a specific date. It is also

essential to consider this as it allows you to create strategies to consolidate loyal

customers in the future in a more pleasant way.

- Language: It stands out to consider the language since despite being in Asia its

language and writing is still different, so to enter the market it must be done in the

most integrated way in relation to the information and message both written and visual

that is required to transmit. Usually this population pays more attention to those

messages that highlight the sanitary conditions of the fruit. On the other hand, they are

excited by that publicity where the product is animated in a "tender" and fun way.

- Cuisine: It is also essential to consider your traditional cuisine since the product you

want to export is food. In South Korea, fruits are the center of food in the day to day,

people prefer to buy fruit than other foods, especially those that are small, however

their culture stands out for integrating the cherry, grapes and blueberries in various

products and in different formats, such as candies, chewing gum, cookies, baked goods

and especially in beverages. This is why it is important to know the various forms and

opportunities of the market that the product has to reach a greater number of

customers, both local and companies.

2. How can you make your product fit into this new culture? Explain

In Korea, the fruit market has expanded, since healthy eating is promoted in this country,
therefore the consumption of fruit is very high, especially the "exotic" fruit that they do not
have on the peninsula, the most demanded they are cherries, grapefruits, mangoes, bananas,
grapes and pineapples, therefore our company Sweet Vision uses this information in its
strategy.

Sweet Vision has a strategy of promoting the sale of its fresh and high quality products online,
we have fruits which are most sought after in Korea at the best price without varying during
the year.
We will enter Korea by putting our products in showcases so that consumers can verify the
quality of each fruit, its color, aroma and sweetness before buying.

To strengthen the confidence of our Korean consumers we will put an employee to be always
in the sector watching the fruits so that he can immediately eliminate if the fruits lose their
state of freshness in the same store in front of the consumers, thus we assure the customer
that the fruit that is entering your country is of the best quality.

Regarding the call for attention by the population, a marketing strategy that is respectful and

comfortable to look at and its traditions is integrated, such as the product packaging will be a

geometric box in different shapes so that these can be gifts in a special way and Not common

like other companies giving it a value and integrating a closeness with the client in a fun and

exclusive way, the idea of making packaging of unique designs on special dates and events was

also born. Striking colors will be used in the packaging and advertising creating even a figure

that is "kawai" that positions the image in the market.

Finally, for the company to achieve and integrate into a more massive volume of business, a

protocol will be created to invite and receive entrepreneurs in Chile, while others select

workers specifically to communicate directly in order to have a serene, constant and not

dispersed communication adding formality .
