3.0 Delivery Procedure

3.1 Delivery of Equipment Genset and ATS using boomtruck.
3.2 Manual hauling, ringing, positioning and mounting of gensets including vibro
isolator and hauling anchor bolts.
3.3 Positioning and mounting of Genset only.
3.4 Equipment Orientation.
Parameter checking of Generator Set Protective Device
Tools needed:
 PC toolkit

 Set of Screw Drivers

 Calibrated Tester

Note: All configuration is done thru PC toolkit.

Generator Set Alarm
Start Fail*
1. Remove output signal of the controller.
2. Press start button.
3. Wait the controller timer (three Times)
High Battery Voltage*
1. Set the Controller Battery voltage limit lower to its actual reading. (Ex: Battery Voltage:
12.5 Vdc Setpoint: 12Vdc)
Low Battery Voltage*
1. Set the Controller Battery voltage limit Higher to its actual reading. (Ex: Battery
Voltage: 12.5 Vdc Setpoint: 20Vdc)
Low Oil Pressure Alarm*
1. Set the Controller Oil Pressure Alarm Higher to its actual reading. (Ex: Acutal Oil
Pressure:5.0 Bar Setpoint: 6 Bar)
2. Run the Genset and the Alarm register on the controller.
OverSpeed Alarm*
1. Set the Controller Overspeed Alarm Setpoint lower to its rated. (Ex: RPM: 1800
Setpoint: 1500RPM)
UnderSpeed Alarm*
1. Set the Controller underspeed Alarm Setpoint Higher to its rated. (Ex: RPM: 1800
Setpoint: 2200RPM)
2. Run the Genset and the Alarm register on the controller.

4.2 Pre checks the fuel, fluid levels, belts, battery.

4.3 Run generator long enough to establish proper operation and record electrical
and engine parameters.
4.4 Shut down generator and allow it to cool to “cold start” condition.
4.5 Hook up the resistance load bank to generator and perform a stepped load test on
the generator at: pf @ 0.8 or 1.0
 0% (no load) at 2 minutes

 25% (with load) at 15 minutes

 50% (with load) at 15 minutes

 75% (with load) at 15 minutes

 100% ( with load) at 15 minutes

 50% (with load) at 3 minutes

 0% (no load) at 2 minutes

The name plate KW rating of the generator using 1.0 power factor for resistive load.
Each step to last thirty (30) minutes record engine and generator data as detailed later
in this section.
4.6 Allow generator to cool down for five (3) minutes.
4.7 Perform one (1) step load (Standby at 80% KW rating, Prime at 90% KW rating) test
immediately after the cool down period. Record data.
4.8 Continue running generator at full load for one (1) hour. Record performance data
every fifteen (30) minutes.
