What have you learned?

In his talk, I have learned that aircraft communication consists of different

systems – aircraft, radio, and accident investigation. The addressing and reporting

system is a datalink communication system which can transfer messages and data

between the aircraft and the ground. The cockpit voice recorder is important for

evaluation of incidents or accidents while the emergency locator transmitter help

research and rescue crews to find aircraft that accidentally land away from an airport or

ditch into water. By the end of his talk, he showed the different avionic compartments

where electronics and communications engineers may work.
