PRESENT SIMPLE TENSE (GENİŞ ZAMAN) (-er, -ar)

Olumlu Cümlelerde
1. HE /SHE / IT (ya da tekil kelimelerle) FİİL -s- takısı alır.
Fiilin sonunda -x, -ss, -sh, -ch, -o varsa -es takısı alır.
Fiilin sonunda –y var ve -y den önce sessiz harf varsa -y
düşer yerine -ies gelir.

2. I /YOU/ WE / THEY ya da çoğul kelimelerle FİİL


olumlu/olumsuz/soru da YALIN kullanılır.
Olumsuz ve Soru cümlelerinde DO yardımcı fiili kullanılır.

Gelecek ZAMAN ZARFLARI (Time Expressions for future tenses) :


tomorrow, this week, next month/year/week,
tonight, soon (yakında), in two months, in 2050, in the future
1. SIMPLE FUTURE TENSE (WILL) -cek

 Olumlu cümlelerde, tüm öznelerle will kullanılır ve FİİL , herhangi bir takı almaz.
 Olumsuz cümlelerde, “will” yardımcı fiilinden sonra “not” gelir. Fiil yine yalındır.
 Soru cümlelerinde, “will” yardımcı fiili öznenin önüne gelir. Fiil yalındır.

b) I hope, I guess, I suppose, I am afraid, I am sure, I believe,I think, perhaps,


probably, maybe gibi ifadelerden sonra (gelecekle ilgili tahminlerde
bulunurken/for predictions for future ) “will” kullanılır.
I am sure it will be a great party.
I hope that you will arrive soon
I guess that they will win the match
Perhaps people will live in space in 2100

c) Koşul cümlelerinde kullanılır.


If you drop it, it will break. (düşürürsen, kırılacak)

d) Tehdit ve rica cümlelerinde kullanılır.


Will you open the window, please? (rica) (Pencereyi açar mısın lütfen?)
I will tell my father if you do it again. (tehdit)
(tekrar yaparsan, babama söyleyeceğim)
2. NEAR FUTURE TENSE (BE GOING TO)

a) Gelecekle ilgili planlardan ve niyetlerden bahsederken kullanılır.


(to talk about future plans and intentions )
 I am going to change my job. (işimi değiştireceğim)
 He is going to invite all of his classmates to the party.
 I have a ticket. I am going to fly to London this summer.

b) Gelecekle ilgili tahminlerde bulunurken kullanılır. Fakat bu tahminler bir veri, kanıt ve bilgi
doğrultusunda yapılır. ( to make predictions based on what we see or the data we have)

• Look at those black clouds. It’s going to rain.


(Şu kara bulutlara bak. Yağmur yağacak)
• Look out! You’re going to fall down.
(Dikkat et. Düşeceksin)

ÖRNEK CÜMLELER:

• My father isn’t going to buy a new car.
(Babam yeni bir araba almayacak)
• A: Are you going to attend the conference?
(Konferansa katılacak mısın?)
B: Yes, I am. B: No, I’m not.
(!): WILL ve BE GOING TO dışında bazı zamanlar da gelecek zamana işaret edebilir.
(Apart from “will” and “be going to”, some other tenses may also refer to future
activities/events)

3. PRESENT SIMPLE (Geniş Zaman)

For timetables and schedules (Zaman çizelgeleri/Program/Tarifelerde) (geleceği gösterir)

 The bus leaves at 3:15


 The train arrives at 5 p.m.
 My first lesson starts at 9 o’clock.

4. PRESENT CONTINUOUS TENSE (Şimdiki Zaman)

For future arrangements (gelecekteki kesin bir plan ve tasarıyı anlatırken kullanılır)

 I’m meeting Jim at the airport tomorrow. (Jim and I have discussed this before)
 I am leaving tomorrow ( I’ve already bought my train ticket and packed my suitcase)
 What are you doing tonight?” “I’m going out with some friends.”
