REFLECTION PAPER: HISTORICAL ANTECEDENTS

Our history from Ancient to Modern ages significantly shows how our lives was
affected by Science and Technology. This topic explains how ancient people uses
simple objects such as stones as tool for daily living. During this time, they use natural
resources where they learn how to make a fire using stones. Eventually, they were able
to use the stone with other objects like wood to make a weapon such as arrowhead
spear and bow that is used in hunting animals. They learn on how to innovate things in
simple ways to make things easier.

Communication has also a large impact with our history. Ancient people learn to
draw symbols as form of communication. Through times, different writing systems were
introduced. With the transportation, they learn to travel via land and water. Main
purpose of looking for other habitat due to different climate in an area. Thus, boats that
were discovered during ancient times were mainly used for hunting and cannot be used
for long-distances. Due to different climates and growth in population, different illness
spread and one of the first medicine that was formulated is Penicillin. This medicine was
able to cure different types of infectious diseases.

As modern age approaches, different science studies began with our researchers
and scientists. Different applications of these studies into our lives develop and
advances the technology. Automotives were also discovered and our technology
continue to advance through time. This shows on how we can use the things surrounds
us and how creative we can be. With our continues learning in Science and Technology,
more innovations will be produced and will help us to make things easier.

We are a living-proof on how Technology helps us to overcome the Coronavirus

pandemic. Students were still able to attend classes online and continue to learn with
the use of different devices and internet. We were able to adapt the virtual environment
where people can continue work at home and stay safe with their families. Even
vaccines were made to protect us from the Coronavirus. This is how Science and
Technology contributes to our society.
