1. Descriptive Text

Descriptive is a text that contains a detailed description of an object so that the objetc is
real. The purpose of a descriptive is to provide a detailed picture of a person,thing, or situation so
that it seems real to the reader.The structure of descriptive text consist of:

a. Identivication: contains a general description of the object to be described.

b. Description : contains a detailed description of the object being described.

2. Narrative Text

Narrative Text is a text that contains stories and stories of event that follow the author’s
time line. The structure of narrative text is a follows:

a. Orientation:contains an intrduction to the story that will be raised, unsually there is an


introduction to e caracters and other background.

b. Complication: contains the ore story of the story which is marked by the conflict that occurs
against the characters of the story.

c. Resolusi: the final part of a story marked by the resolution of the conflik.

d. Coda: contains the conclusion of the story.


3. Recount Text

Recount text is a text in english that serves to explain stories in the past. Therefore, the
recount text in the past tense or past tense. The Generic structure of the reccount text is as
follows:

a. Orientation: In this section contains the opening paragraph of a text, contains an introduction
first (the opening /beginning of a story).

b. Event:In this section begin to thell what events or experiences have been experienced
(sequence of a story).

c. Reorientation: In this section contains a conclusion to the content of the story.

4.Review Text

Review is a text that contsains comments and evaluations about a particular item or
product. The structure of the review text is as follows:

a. Orientation: csouuntains and introduction to the item or product.

b.Interpretation: contains an assessment of the goods or product discussed.

c. Evaluation: contains the author’s evaluation and comments on the item or product.

5.Report Text

Report is a text that contains information about what is happening within a scope. The
general purpose of the report text is to provide an over view of events that have just accurred
through systematic observation and analysis. The structure of the report text is as follows:

a. General classification: contains a general description of an event.

b. Description: contains a description of the event to be conveyed.

6.Spoof Text

Spoof is a text that contains funny events or experiences that have been experienced by
someone. The structure of the spoof text consists of:

a. Orientation; contains the introduction and opening of the story

b. Event: countsins a description of the story experienced.


c. Twist: contsins the ending of the story

7.Procedure Text

Judging from the name of the text,we can be sure that the procedure text contains text
that explains the steps and how to do something correctly`. The structure in the procedure text
consists of:

a. Purpose: contains the purpose of the process of making something.

b. Materials: contains goods and objects used in the manufacturing process.

c. Steps: contains the process and steps of making something.

8. Annoucement Text

Annoucement is a text in English that contains the annoucement of an event or


notification. The structure in the annoucement text consists of:

a. The title: which contains a theme or title regarding the information we will provide.

b. Date, Time, Place: Contains the date, time and place of the event or information about the
event

c. Contact person: Contains a telephone number or e-mail thst csn be contacted.

9. News Item Text

News item text is a text in english that serves to present a news. Its purpose is to provide
information about what happened. The Generic structure of the News Item Text is as follows:

a. Main event: Which contains the main news about something that happened.

b. Background: which contains where the event occurred.

c. Source: the source from which the news comes from.

10 Discussion Text

Discussion text is a text in english that serves to describe a discussion or debate about a
theme or problem that occurts. In this text the pros and cons appear according to the theme
being discussed. There are several section in the Generic Structure Discussion Text, namely:
a. Issue: this section contains the current issues

b. Arguments: this section contains the reasons for the themes discussed.

c. Elaboration: In this section express which opinion will be chosen.

d. Conclusion: this section contains conclusions about the theme bein raised.`

11. Advertisement Text

Advertisement text in english is text that contains an advertisement that contains


information about a product or event. so, advertisement text serves to promote a certain
advertising product with a persuasive intent.

There are no specific rules for creating an ad must be persuasive. So, the format in the
advertisement text must be in a simple, clear, short, persuasive sentence, and use an attractive
slogan.

12. Anocdate Text

Anocdate text is a text in english that serves to tell strange things that usually happened
in the past. In addiction,anecdote text also serves to entertain thr reader through the story. The
generic structure of the Anecdote text Anecdote text is a follow:

a. Abstract: the beginning of the story of the occurrence of an event.

b. Orientation: starting to introduce the setting or background of an event.

c. Crisis: contains the obstacles that occur in the story.

d. Reaction: begins to end the oddity that occurs.

e. contains the conclusion or message in the story.

13. Explanation Text

Explanation text in english is a tex in english that explains the occurrence of an event
clearly and completely, and in detail. The generic structure of the explanation text is a folllows:

a. title: the title or theme that we wil explain

b. Definition: the definition of the of the texts


c. Description: a description of something.

d. Process: an explanation of the process that occurs.

e. Application: contains its application or application.
