during an installation due to improper cuts, damage, or extra cuts you may need. It is good to also keep extra
planks on hand in case there is damage later on due to water or scratches. This way, you can easily replace
planks without having to worry about your flooring being discontinued or the locking system changing.
Once you have calculated your total square footage you will need to cover your room, you will add between
5-10% of your total square footage as the laminate flooring waste factor.
1. Calculate the Waste Amount with the following equation: Total Room SQFT x 0.05 = Waste Amount
2. Add the Waste Amount to your Total Room SQFT to find the final amount of flooring you need to
purchase: Waste Amount + Total Room SQFT = Final Square Footage
Example:
