Course Description:
This three (3) hour per week course designed and help students to develop and analyze to
development of writing and presentation skills to produce effective business communications. The
student will compose, produce, and present effective business documents appropriate to meet industry
standards: apply critical evaluation techniques to business documents: and demonstrate the
importance of coherence, ethical communication principles in business and industry.
Course Objectives:
Generally, at the end of the semester,
Review and refine communication skills including review of basic grammar, punctuation,
capitalization, number usage, spelling, and word revision.
Evaluate listening skills and learn and apply effective listening techniques.
Discuss and apply effective oral communication skills and effective writing style in business
situations.
Discuss and use of electronic means of communication and observe and evaluate non-verbal
language.
Effective learning and strategic approaches on Business communication including the usage
and functions.
