ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT ON FILIPINO VALUES MONTH

Tema: “Pagpapaunlad ng Pagkatao, Pakikipagkapwa at Pananampalataya: Hamon sa
Panahon ng Pandemya”
December 15, 2021

INTRODUCTION
The Filipino value system or Filipino values refers to the set of values that most of the
Filipino have historically held important in their lives. This Philippine values system includes
their own unique assemblage of consistent ideologies, moral codes, ethical practices,
etiquette, and cultural and personal values that are promoted by their society. As with any
society though, the values that an individual holds sacred can differ based on religion,
upbringing, and other factors.
As a general description, the distinct value system of Filipinos is rooted primarily in personal
alliance systems, especially those based in kinship, obligation, friendship, religion, and
commercial relationships.
The Department of Education (DepEd) joins the entire nation in the 2021 National Observance
of the Filipino Values Month (FVM) pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 479 dated
October 7, 1994, titled Declaring the Month of November of Every Year as Filipino Values
Month. It aims to mobilize all Filipinos for nation building through the practical exercise of
human values in our daily lives as citizens and to awaken all to the power of these values in
achieving the individual and national goals. It emphasizes the importance and critical role of the
family in strengthening Filipino values and developing individuals who are pro-God, pro-people,
pro-country, and pro-nature especially in this digital age.
In support to DepEd Memorandum No. 079 s. 2021 entitled “2021 National Observance of
Filipino Values Month” with the year’s theme “Pagpaunlad ng Pagkatao, Pakikipagkapwa at
Pananampalataya: Hamon sa Panahon ng Pandemya,” the Malubog Integrated School conducted
activities in celebration of the National Observance of Filipino Vaues Month (FVM) this
November to create moral awakening and national consciousness on human values that are
unique, genuine, and positively Filipino, which is pursuant to the Presidential Proclamation No.
749, s. 1994, RE: “Declaring the month of November of Every Year as Filipino Values Month.”
The Malubog Integrated School ESP/Values teachers and coordinators worked together to
conduct activities to celebrate the National Observance of Filipino Values Month, amidst the
crisis. Despite the challenges that hinders the face-to-face conduct of these activities, the
coordinators were able to successfully organize competitions/contests for the learners without the
need to come to school. Surprisingly, many learners showed their interest and joined the
activities by sending their entries.

II. OBJECTIVE
Celebrate the FVM by integrating the theme into online class discussions and other learning
activities as deemed appropriate and encourage learners to express their heroism in achieving
victory over health crisis.
