PROJECT OBJECTIVE
This project is for household goods moving company. There will be three interfaces in this
application viz. Admin, Customer and Driver.

Customers will have the ability to book a truck/mover which by default comes with a helper to load
& unload. The customer can view the availability on the calendar and schedule his/her delivery.

Drivers will receive the order and can change the status of the order. The drivers cannot be booked
on any busy schedule. The customer and the admin will get notified when the driver has been
assigned with the job and the time when he delivers the order. Based on these two notifications the
total time of service will be calculated and customer will have to pay on hourly basis i.e. total time it
used the service. The app will provide an estimate up front (based on hours booked) then the
customer will be billed by time (hourly rate) + distance (mileage rate).

Admin will manage the complete application from the backend. He will add drivers from the
backend and provide them their access credentials. He can perform crud operation (create, remove,
update and delete content) over the application and manage the whole database and Help/Support
system.

SCOPE OF WORK
Complete project will be developed in phases. There will be 7 phases for project
development. The attached excel sheet will explain the modules and task that needs to
implement to develop this mobile application & web based backend.

Kindly note, that the timeline is based on current availability of resources. In case if

client.

TESTING AND QUALITY ASSESSMENT
Before delivery the total software will be tested for following compliancy

UI Quality Test – This involves quality check of user interface to ensure a very user
friendly interface for all types of user.
Device and Browser Version Compatibility Test - This involves the testing of the
application on different Devices (iPhone 5, 5s, 5c, SE, 6, 6s, 6+, 7, 7+) and recent OS
versions (iOS 8 to 10) to check compatibility.
Functionality Test – This involves the testing of all the functionalities of the
application working as per given functional specification.
System Test - This involves the complete system testing once all the modules have
been completed.

PAYMENT TERMS

MILESTONES SCHEDULE PERCENTAGE

Project Sign off needs to be released to get us started.


Milestone 1: We will cover team allocation, knowledge transfer 30
and will start with activities of next milestone.
At completion of Documentation (FSD & Project

Please Note: The milestone payments can be further revised (split into two or more) by
assigned Project Manager validated as per project plan (if required).
PROJECT DEVELOPMENT WORKFLOW
Once the project is awarded to Octal, the entire project knowledge is transferred to the
project management department who is responsible for the following –

Setting up of the project over Octal’s web-based project management tool


And creating the following document to ensure smooth development of the project
o SRS (Software Requirement Specification) –Will have all the scope which
developers need to consider at the time of development. Any point which is
beyond the document will be considered as a new work.
o Release Plan – This will have the dates on which Octal will provide update to
the client on the work done. This will also have the payment details to
provide an idea of the payment due.

*All the development will be based on the scope mentioned in SRS (Software Requirement
Specification). Any point which is beyond the SRS document will be considered as a change
request.

Once client approves the above document, the development team will initiate the project
development which included following:

Designs: We will design the Splash & Inner Screens for Customer & Driver app and
will send you for your review.
Development: The allocated team will start development as per the release plan.
Team will provide updates to client on regular intervals. Client will be able to check
the Work Progress by test builds developed for his devices.
Deployment: Deployment over App Store & client server will be made once all the
work gets finished and there is no payment due. Client will provide the server
details & apple developer account.

Deployment Terms: Once client will provide approval to upload the work on live server,
we would need one day to upload them on the server.

SUPPORT
Octal Info solution provides 30 Days free bug fixing support of the existing code which is
implemented by Octal. The warranty shall be valid:

Up on receipt of 100% payment


Up on deployment of the deliverables in the client’s server or 1 week from
completion of the mobile application, whichever is earlier

All support requests (bug fixing of the existing code) shall be address within a maximum
period of 48-72 hours from receipt of such requests (except weekends and public or
national holidays). Changes leading to fresh development shall be charged as per the
requirement.

Terms and Conditions

The maintenance package needs to be purchased before the completion of the


project development.
Onetime payment, no breaking down into installments. Entire amount has to be paid
at the time of purchasing the package.
The hours mentioned in the packages need to be consumed within specific period
from the date of signing the contract. The period will depend on selected package.
Once the package gets maxed out, following that, the remaining work will be carried
out at an hourly price (applicable at that time) or you need to purchase another
package.
To ensure the transparency, we can use third party software called Time Doctor
which will give you the ability to check developer’s screen while he is working on
the task. Also you will be updated on a very frequent basis about the number of
hours spent on specific maintenance task. Since maintenance itself seems to be a
long term working relation hence we always want to be as transparent as possible.

Octal Info solution shall provide the Services at the following site(s):

Offshore services will be provided at Octal Info solution address.


Onsite services may be provided at buyer’s cost (if needed & requested by buyer,
based on availability & feasibility).

GENERAL TERMS
This proposal is valid for ONE month (30 Days) from 06-April-17.
Project's entire cost will NOT be payable at once; it will be broken down into
multiple installments to be paid periodically during the entire development
duration of the project.
Above mentioned prices are exclusive of any applicable taxes and any transaction
fees.
We will raise invoices as per the milestones mentioned in the Payment Schedule.
Client will pay these invoices within five (5) days of its receipt.
A detailed and formal timeline with all milestones will be shared once the project
documents (SRS.) get approved by you (the client).
The above submitted efforts and cost are computed on the basis of the project
related details (as well as the level of depth for these details) provided by you (the
client) at the time of working out the project estimates.
The source code will be delivered to client only after client makes final payment and
clears all dues with Octal. In case, Octal delivers (or, is required to deliver) partial
source code before the project is completed, client will pay for efforts invested by
Octal till the date of such source code release.
All the deliverables will be a joint responsibility of both Client and Octal; hence it is
expected from client to provide feedback within five (5) working days of receiving
the final deliverables and final approval within ten (10) working days of receiving
the final deliverables.
Octal doesn’t allow putting any under development project on hold by the client
without any valid and approved (by Octal) reason as its extremely adverse for
normal business flow and therefore to avoid any such unpleasant situations the
following conditions are applicable –
If the client has a valid reason (and Octal agrees to it) for putting the project on hold
and has no due payment till that day, then in that case the project can be paused for
a maximum of thirty (30) days and whenever the client is ready to restart the
project, then he will have to allow Octal fifteen (15) days to start the development
again. Also, a new release plan will be prepared for the project deliverables.
If the client becomes non responsive for two (2) weeks then automatically the
project status will be considered as ‘on hold’ and to resume work following this, the
client will have to pay a penalty of 15% of project’s total cost along with all other
dues till that day and allow Octal fifteen (15) business days (at least) to start the
development again. Also, a new release plan will be prepared for the project
deliverables.
In the event that the project gets discontinued/hold for any reason, the buyer will
have the obligation to pay in full against the efforts (based on applicable hourly rate
on such date) invested by the service provider till such date without any dispute.
All add-ons will be billable at the rate of USD 20 per hour after signing this package.

STORM PINS

Client came to Octal Info Solution to get develop an applications which lets users to report
things like fallen trees, flooded roads, accidents and other incidents. These hazards then
should be visible on the web and within the app. All the reported hazards should be visible
to emergency managers (Government officials) which they can forward to emergency
responders or delete them.

CHALLENGE ENCOUNTERED –IMPLEMENT RADAR SYSTEM TO GOOGLE API:


Client came to Octal Info Solution with a rough idea of a weather application. The main
challenge which arose was implementing the radar system to the Google API. Pin pointing
the exact locations via GPS. Embedding photos and videos on the map

THE SOLUTION:

Octal designed and developed a mobile app that includes extensive use of Google,
Facebook and Twitter API's. Our solution included the following features:

Customer registration and profile using Facebook/Google+.


Dropping Weather pins to different locations.
Using social media for weather forecasting.
Emergency communication.
Uploading photos and videos to the Pin.
Crisis Mapping.
Increased situational awareness.
Closing the information loop.
Providing three days weather forecast.

RESULTS & BENEFITS:

The solution offered by Octal Info solution exceeded the requirements of Client and it
quickly gained attention of U.S. government.

Client is extremely satisfied with the outcome of this project, and the quality of the
finished product overall was very high exceeding their expectations.
The mobile application developed by Octal Info solution gained very high reviews
from its community users; further strengthening StormPins relationship with its
customers.
The application got selected by the U.S. government and is presently being used by
the same.
The application was also introduced to the U.S. citizen by CNBC.
Client was overwhelmed by the efforts made by Octal especially when the
information loop closes.

After app went live, within few days this app got huge amount of interest and rush
by the people as well as by different TV channels or finally by US government itself.
This is publically announced best emergency communication platform on local news
channel (Local 12 in Cincinnati).

Currently App is doing very well and has more than 40K+ downloads and 4.0 and
4.4 rating on iTunes and android stores respectively.

The client approached us with Zomato in mind with covering a wide array of business
types and listing categories (covering Dubai’s clothing and lifestyle segment).

CHALLENGE ENCOUNTERED –TIGHT TIMELINE:

The approach is quite same but the solution needed to be built dealt with a huge amount of
data besides having a design that makes it stand out from existing apps. Handling this kind
of busy and complex data that is highly segregated and seo oriented, is mostly a challenge.

THE SOLUTION:

As we were very clear about the requirement, we kept our approach simple and focused on
the basic purpose the app has to cater. We drafted a plan that would first cover the entire
idea on which the app is based and then raked in the features to match with the concept
invariably. We then went on segregating the whole product/solution across different
processing entities and allowed them to address a consolidated functional plan. This way
we made the whole system work in tandem with the huge amount of data which is followed
by optimized user search and business listing properties. The features we implemented
with the design worked best with the smart shopping solution it perceived and planned to
offer.
RESULTS & BENEFITS:

YallaSpree covers a wide array of features offering great range of facility for data handling
and processing. This helped the dynamic shopping theme gain right perspective of
information handling and user interaction. Functionally the application is able to control

DFS Crew needed to expand their existing functional capacity to reach new market
propositions and engage customers better on an automated platform.

Dynamics CRM expert developed an end-to-end CRM solution that handles all the
processing involved during the customer order request till service provided and work
completed. In the application it takes the order from customer through a call from them
and then that call is entered in a lead by the call center executive in CRM and following that
an email is shoot out to related branch manager.

The system then allows the branch manager to send an email to related area
representative about the lead and reprehensive attends the customer for the job,
handles the query, and provides him different quotation for the construction work
asked by the customer. As soon the quotation is confirmed and payment is made,
representative then sends the email back to branch manager and updates him about the
status for the lead who accordingly updates the account department and lead is then closed
by the call center staff.
