This specification is intended for the procurement of material only and does not include necessary
provisions of a contract.

This specification covers the minimum requirement for voltage transformers of 0.2 accuracy class
intended to be used lor special energy metering applications from 66kV up to 500kV systems.

2.2 ln case, the requirements laid down herein dififer, from those given in the IEC Publication in any
particular casc, thc voltage translormers shallcomply with the requirements listed herein in regard to that
requ iremcnt.

3.0 DET'INI'I'IONS
'l'hc definitions of IEC 61869-1, 61869-l and 61869-5 shall apply on voltage transformers. Some of
them are rccollected here lor ease olreference.

3.1 Voltage 'I'ransformer


An instrument transformer in which the secondary voltage, in normal conditions of use, is
substantially proportional to the primary voltage and differs in phase from it by an angle which is
approximately zero for an appropriate direction ofthe connections.

3.2 Primary Winding


'lhe winding to which the voltage to be transformed is applied.

3.3 Secondary Winding


The winding which supplies the voltage circuits of measuring instruments, meters, relays or similar
apparatus.

3.4 Rated Primary Voltage


The value ofthe primary voltage which appears in the designation ofthe transformer and on which
its performance is based.

3.5 Rated Sccondary Voltage


The value ofthe secondary voltage which appears in the designation ofthe transformer and on which
its performance is based.

3.6 Actual Trensformation Ratio


The ratio ofthe actual primary voltage to the actual secondary voltage.

3.7 Rated Transformation Ratio


The ratio ofthe rated primary voltage to the rated secondary voltage.

3.8 Measuring Voltage Transformer


A voltage transformer intended to supply indicating instruments, integrating meters and similar
apparatus.

3.9 Protective Voltagc Transformer


A voltage transformer intended to provide a supply to electrical protective relays'

3.t0 Voltage Error (Ratio Error)


The error which a transformer introduces into the measurement ofa voltage and which ariscs when
the actual translormation ratio is not equal to the rated transformation ratio. The voltagc error
expressed in percent is given by the formula:

3.u Phase Displaccmcnt

The differencc in phase betwcen the primary voltage and secondary voltagc vectors, thc dircction oI
the vectors being so chosen that the angle is zero for a perfect transformer. The phase displaccrncnt is
said to be positivc whcn thc secondary voltage vector leads the primary voltage vector. lt is usually
cxprcsscd ill t'rlinutcs or ccntiradians.

3.12 Accuracy Class


A designation assigned to a voltage transformer the errors of which remain within specified limits
under prescribed conditions of use.

The combination of voltage values which characterizes the insulation of a transformer with regard to
its capability to withstand dielectric stresses.

3.t4 Burden
1'he impedance ofthe secondary circuit in ohms and power-factor. The burden is usually expressed
as the apparent power in volt-amperes absorbed at a specified power-factor and at the rated secondary
current.

3.r5 Rated Burden


The value ofthe burden on which the accuracy requirements ofthis specification are based.

3.r6 Rated Output


'l'hc valuc ofthe apparent power (in volt-ampercs at a specified power-factor) which the transformer
is intended to supply to the secondary circuit at the rated secondary voltage and with rated burden
connected to it-

3.t7 Highest Voltage for Equipment


'l'he highest r.m.s. phase-to-phase voltage for which a transformer is designed in respect of its
insulation.

3.18 Rated Insulation Levcl


The cornbination ofvoltage values which characlerizes the insulation ofa transformer with regard to
irs capability to withstand dielectric stresses.

3. l9 Ratcd Voltagc Factor


'l'hc multiplying factor to be applied to the rated primary vollage to determine the maximum voltage
at which a transformer must comply with the relevanl thermal requirernents lbr a specified time and
with the relevant accuracy requirements.

4.0 SI]RVICIi (]oNDI'IIONS


'l'hc voltagc transformers and all accessories shall be suitable for satisfectory operation under the
lollowing scrvice conditions. lf the actual site ssrvice conditions ofany project dil-fer lrom these
service conditions, voltage transfonner shall be designcd to comply with those service conditions
described in schedule of requirements.

4.1 Climatic Conditions

4.1 .2 Relative I'Iumidily

The relative humidity may range from 0 to 100 percent. The maximum value of the ambient
temperature and humidity, however, do not occur simultaneously. During the monsoons, high
humidity may persist for many days at a time along with temperatures ranging from 30"C to 40nC.

4.2 Allitudc
The voltagc translormers shall be suitable for installation up to 1000 m above sea level

4.3 Atmospheric Conditions


It may be assumed that the air is not normally heavily polluted by dust, smoke, aggressive gases,
vapors or salt spray. Howevcr, at certain times ofthe yearr severe dust storms may be experienced.

4.4 Wind Load


The maximum wind load shall be taken as 122 kglsq. m. (corresponding to wind speed of 44.2 m/s)

4.5 Seismic Conditions

1'hc voltage transformers along with steel supporting structures (as per NTDC specifications P- I 9' P-
82, P- I 39, P- l 82. erc. ) shall be suitable to withstand the seismic stress/magnitude according to Richer-
scale up to 7 (horizontal acceleration up to 4mls' (0.4g) for safety of equipmcnl under heavy
earthquake conditions unless otherwise specified in the tender.

.1.6 Supply System

The voltage transformers shall be suirable for installation in 500kV, 220kV, I32kV & 66kV three
phase A.C. solidly earthed supply system ofthe following characteristics:

5.0 RATINGS & CHARECTERISTICS


5.1 The voltage translormers shall comply with the following ratings, characteristics and meet all test
requirements laid down herein with respect to insulation strenglh, accuracy etc.

6.0 CONSTITUC'I'IO\
6.1 General

6.1 .l The voltage translormers shall be capacitive or inductive type. The dcsign shall bc such that
installation. replacement and gcneral maintenance may be undcrtaken within a rninimum time and all
parts are easily assembled and protected from rusting or corrosion. The material and workmanship
shall be of best quality and in accordancc with the modern practices to cnsure wcll establishcd
physical. electrical and mcchanical characteristics as per I[lC 61869-1. 61869-3 and 61869-5.
International lactors ofsafctl'shall be uscd in the design. Provision shall be rrade in thc design ofthe
VTs to ensure that propcr operation is not impaired by vermin, insccts. small animals and birds.

6.1.2 Oil filled voltage transfomers shall be independent, single pole, single corc, free standing, and
hermetical ly sealed, sclf-contained, outdoor type.

6.1.3 SFs filled voltage transformers (For GIS) shall be independent, single-core, self-contained,
indoor/outdoor type.

6.1 .4 Oil filled V-fs shall bc supplicd complete with oil lcvcl indicators markcd for 25 oC, stccl supporting
structurcs, solderless clamp typc IIV terminal connectors for conncction to conductor. tcrminal boxcs
with terminals for outgoing secondary wires. grounding terminals and marshalling boxcs as specificd.

6. I.5 SF6 voltage transformers shall conform to NTDC Specification P-223 (amended to datc) and shall
be suppliedwith terminal boxes having terminals for outgoing secondary wires, grounding terminals
and marshaling boxes as specified. Separate compartments for gas insulated metering voltage
transformer shall bc used. Additional core(s) in existing voltagc transformer(s) is not acccptable.

6.1.6 ]'he oil shall be un-inhibited, non-PCB and class I confbrming to IDC-60296.

6.t.7 The voltage translormers shall be constructed to provide adequate insulation lor the insulation class
specified and to withstand mechanical and thermal stresses produced during short circuil conditions.
AII insulation and magnetic materials shall have proven and wcll established physical and electrical
properties such as to give continuous and prolonged service without deterioration.

6. 1.8 The oil filled voltage lranslormers shall be hermetically sealed with arrangements othcr than nitrogen
cushion. Synthetic or stainless steel bellows, or expandable cells shall be provided to accommodatc
oil level variation. A suitable device lor indicating thc position of the bellows visiblc lrom ground
shall be provided.

6.1.9 All the steel and malleable iron parts shall be hot dipped galvanized.

6. t .10 'l'hc CV'ls shall consist of a capacitor divider unit containing a large number of series connected oil
imprcgnatcd capacitor elements and an electromagnetic unit (lntermediate Voltage Transformer)
oonnecled between the intermediate terminal and the earth terminal of the capacitor divider unit lor
providing thc secondary output.

6.1.I I
-fhc entire capacitor divider unit i.e. high voltage capacitor and intermediate capacitors shall be
hcrmctically scaled, preferably, in the same hollow porcelain housing so that the measuring errors due
to changes in temperature and contaminations are minimized.

6.t.t2 'l'hc capacitor units shall be complctcly flllcd with oil. In order to increase the margin to corona
inccption, the capacitor unit shall bc prcssurized. 'l'he oil expansion technique shall incorporate the
provision other than nitrogen gas cushion such as synthctic or stainless steel bellows or expandable
cclls to accommodate oil level variation. Suitable grade ofstainless steel shall be used ifsteel bellows
are provided with the provision of suitable device for indicating the position of bellows. Each
capacitor shall bc equipped with a pressure indicator. Oil level gauge shall be ofa type which can be
rcad with the equipment energized

6. t.l3 'l'hc capacitor electrodes shall be made ofaluminum foil. The dielectric shall consist ofseveral Iayers

of high quality papcr impregnated rvith special rnineral oil and shall be properly assembled.
capacitor divider unit shall offer negligible capacitance variation with temperaturc, and shall have
optimum stability olratio for different arnbient temperatures. Suitable means shall be providcd in the
design ofCVTs to prevent corona discharges, in order to reduce the high frequcncy noise level

6.1.14 'l'hc capacitors oflthe voltage divider unit shall have low dielectric losses, small insertion losses at
high frcquency, high resonance liequency and low radio interlerence voltage level.

6.1.15 'l'hc electromagnetic unit ofCVTs shall consist ofan intermediate voltage transformer, a device lor
supprcssion of Ferro resonance oscillations, and a compensating reactor to ensure correct phase and
ratio rclationship between primary and secondary voltages. These shall be housed in a hermetically
sealcd steel tank filled with oil. 'l'hc tank shall be capable of withstanding excessive pressure under
lauh conditions without distortion. 'fhe oil in the steel tank shall be separated from the oil in the
porcclain unit. A drain screrv and an oil filing screw shall also be provided. The transformers shall
havc thrcc legged core, made of high grade silicon steel stampings, the winding shall be arranged
concentrically on the middle Ieg of thc core and insulated with oil impregnated paper. The primary
winding shall have uniform voltage distribution. The 1.V.1'. shall have a low design flux density. Ifa
ground switch is provided for intermediate transformcr, it shall be lockable in the open position.

6. I . I 6 A test device shall also be provided to check the working ol the suppression circuit at any time with
the transfbrmer energized.

6.t.17 A signaling dcvice operated by liberation ofgas shall be provided fbr the detection ofslightcst fault
which may affect the accuracy ofthe measurement and also indicate any abnorrnal lall in the oil level.

6. l.l8 Protectivc dcvice shall be provided for limiting ovcr voltage to about twice the full load voltage across
thc auxiliary capacitor in the event ofshort circuit ofburden impedance.

6.2 'I'cch n ical

6.2.1 The tEC specified accuracy requirement shall be met without having to make adjustment for changes
of power factor, burden or voltage.

6.3 Painting
6.3.l All cxposcd mctallic parts shall be painted except where painting will interfere with the normal
opcration of'the equipment. Where surface is left unpainted lor mounting purposes, they shall be
suitably protected to prevent rusting during storage and ocean transport.

6.3.2 After preparation and cleaning ofall surfaces to bc painted, the surfaces not in contact with oil shall
be painted wilh two coats of an epoxy primer containing red lead, zinc or aluminum.
'l'hc surlaces
shall bc finish coated with two coats ofenamel applied to provide a uniform smooth surlace lice from
blemishes.

6.3.3 The inlerior and exterior surfaces ofthe voltage transformers shall be given manufacturers' standard
finish belore shipping but a dull grey color finish shall be preferred. A very light color or aluminum
paint shall not be used.

6.4 Housing and Tank

6.4.1 'fhe tank housing shallbe constructed ofgalvanized steel or corrosion proof, high quality, cavity-free,
cast aluminum alloy and shall be suitably reinlorced to withstand rigors of handling and excessivc
pressure under fault conditions without distortion. All welded joints, pipe work and valves ctc. shall
be leak proof.

6.4.2 'l'hc housing or tank shall be of sufficicnt strength and rigidity to provide a tight- iitting gaskct and
scalcd enclosure. l-he complete assemblics shall lbrrn sealed enclosures capable of sustaining lull
pressure developed within housing or tank, either above or below atmospheric. under normal
operating conditions. The rvindings and bushings shall be hermetically sealed to prevent thc
cnlrance olmoisture or leakage ofthe diclectric during transportation, storage and installation ctc.

6.4.3 All welded joints, pipe work and valves etc. shall be oil/SFo-leak tested.

A clamp on covcr shall preferably be provided to allow access to component parts within thc tank

6.5 Primary Terminals


6.5.1 'lhe primary terrninal shall be single-stem, horizontal, flat bar type made of aluminum /Tin plated (12
micron) copper (l00xl00xl5) adequately shielded and corona free.

6.6 Secondary Terminals

6.6.t All the secondary leads shallbe brought out through the voltage transformer tank wall by mcans of
multiple bushings, equipped with connectors for 2.5 mm2 to 4 mm2 conductor and shall terminatc in
a low voltage weather proofbox mounted on the side ofthe tank. Provision shall be made in'l'crminal

Box for cntry of4 core 2.5 mm'zcopper control cable. Brass cable glands shall be provided. Protection
class ofterminal box shall be IP 55.

6.7 Secondary Terminal Box

6.7.1 The terminal box shall be located in such a manner that they will line up when the V-ls are banked
in linc lor three phase operation.

6.7.2 Removable cable gland plate shall be provided on terminal box.

6.7.3 The nameplate shall be fixed outside ofthe terminal box in order to be visible with the box closed.

6.7.4 Connection diagram shall be affixed inside the secondary terminal box so that it can be easily read
while working in the box.

6.7.5 Provision shall bc rnade for sealing thc tenninal box by mcans o1'lashcd wire as well as pad lock.

6.8 Earthing Terminals


6.8.1 Two (02) Earthing terminals at diagonally opposite position shall be provided. Each terminal shall be
capable of carrying lull short circuit current and shall be suitable for accommodating 95 to 185 mm2
copper Earthing leads.

6.9 Cores and Windings

6.9.1 core shall be made ofhigh quality non-aging grain oricnted annealed silicon steel, or some other
superior matcrial, carefully selected and tested to provide the best magnetic characteristics to provide
low losses, high accuracy and low saturation levels and shall be suitably reinforced to withstand
rigors ofhandling and excessive pressure under fault conditions without distortion. The winding shall
be supplied with negligible leakage reactance in the whole windings and between tapings.

6.9.2 AII welded joints, pipe work and valves etc. shall be oil/Slro-leak tested.

6.9.3 A clamp on cover shall preferably be provided to allow access to component parts within the tank
without undue diffi culty.

6. l0 Insulator
6.10.1 All porcelain insulators shall be electrical grade, wet process, homogeneous and free from cavities
and other defects. lnsulator shall conform to IEC 62155 and tested in accordance with IEC-60273.
The color of insulators shall be chocolate glazed brown. Fittings shall be made of steel and hot dip
galvanizcd.

6.10.2 Porcelain insulators shall be designed to withstand internal pressure of three times the maximum
operating pressure and shall have the same Insulation Level as the voltage transformer. These shall
be airtight undcr pressure and shall have adequate mechanical strength to withstand the wind loads,
seismic stress, static and dynamic forces from conductor.

6. r0.3 Minimum creepage distance from live to earthed parts for porcelain insulators shall bc as per clause
5.1 ofthis specification under the prevailing atmospheric conditions as mentioned in clause 4 of this
specification.

6. 10.4 Outdoor porcclain housing shall withstand a washing pressure of 3800 kPa without permitting water
ingress into the V'fs or secondary terminal box.

6. 10.5 Duly certilied cornplete type test reports in line with NTDC'l'ype test repots carried oul as per relevant
IEC on offered insulators by the manulacturcr having samc design characteristics, shall be provided.
Name of manufacturer should be embossed on the insulator. Manufacturer's routinc 'l'est reports
carried out as per relcvant IEC shall be submitted at the time of pre-delivery inspcclion/l"ATs.

6. 10.6 R-fV Coated Porcelain insulator shall be provided if mentioned in schedule as per NTDC
specifications revised to date and relevant IEEE & IEC standards.

6.10.7 The primary winding neutral end conneclion shall be brought out through the welded steel plate tank
wall or cover, with a dry polyurethane type bushing, capable of withstanding a 4 kV, 501'lz test for
connection to a neutral conductor.

6.1 I Marshaling Box


6.1 I .l A marshaling box shall be erected on center phase supporting structure containing isolating type
terminals to all sccondary circuits, threc single pole, high speed MCBs of 3 Amp for VT protection
with two auxiliary contacts for annunciation purposes. At least 200 spare terminals shall be provided
in the box.

6.11.2 The box shall be fabricated lrom steel sheet. not less than 3 mm thick, seam-wclded at corners.
Howevcr. in casc of rigid frame design, the thickness of steel sheets may be reduced according to
manufacturcr's standard desi gn.

6.1 1.3 'fhe box shall bc dcsigned for protcction class IP55 in accordance with IEC-60529

6.11.4 Removablc cablc glands shall be providcd for proper termination olcables

6.11.5 Provision shall be made for locking the marshaling box by pad locks and sealing by means of lashed
wire and lead seals.

6.1 1.6 Heaters with thermostat and humidistats shall be provided inside each marshaling box

6.11.7 Lamps wirh door operatcd swirch shall be provided for intcrnal illumination.

6. I 1.8 There shall be a single-phase powcr socket inside each marshaling box.

6.11.9 Two (02) MCBs with auxiliary contact shall be provided. One MCB shall be used for switching
ON/OFF the AC power supply to the heater and the other one shall be used for illumination and power
socket.

6.13. l The voltage transformers shall be capable of withstanding the mechanical cantilever stresses
€quivalent to those produced by winds and horizontal earthquake acceleration as mentioned in clause
4 ofthis spccification.

6.t4 Effect of Transicnts

'fhe transicnt response of the capacilor voltage transformer shall be such that on the application of a
short circuit to the primary and earth terminal the secondary output voltage shall fall to a value less
than l0% ofthe peak value before short circuit in less than one cycle ofrated frequency.

6. | 4.2 When a capacitor voltage transformer supplied at 1200A of 'alcd voltage and with substantially zero
burden has its secondary terminal short circuited and the short circuit is suddenly removed, the peak
ofthe secondary voltage shall revcrt to a value which does not differ from its notninal value by more
than 107o after l0 cycles of2 seconds.

6.t4.3 When a CVl'supplied at voltage corrcsponding to its rated voltage factor and with a substantially
zero burden, has its secondary tcrminal short circuited and the short circuit is suddenly removed
ferroresonancc shall not be sustaincd fbr rnore than 2 seconds.

6.t4.4 The exciting irnpedance of intcrrncdiate translormer and capacitance of voltage divider lorrn a
resonant circuit. 'fhe basic ficqucncy of this circuit shall be greater than 0.3 times the system
frequency so that thc dccaying oscillation shall not be sustaincd or periodic.

6.15 Rated Voltage Factor

6.15. r The standard value of rated voltage factor shall be 1.2 for continuous duty and 1.5 for 30 seconds
duration.

6.16 Temperature Rise


6. l6. t The temperalure rise ofthe voltage transformer under IEC specified conditions shall not be more than
the values mentioned in IEC with a reduction of l0"C due to higher ambient temperature.

6.17 Short Circuit Cha racteristics


6.17.1 The voltage transforrners shall be capable of withstanding for one second the mechanical and thermal
stresses resulting from short circuit on secondary terminals with maximum rated voltage maintained
on primary terminals.

assuming an initial copper temperature of 95'C. The secondary short circuil current shall be at least

6. l8.l Voltage transformer shall be capable of withstanding thc static loads to be applied in any direction to
the primary term inals.

6.t9 Dynamic Mcchanical'l'crminal Load

6. l9.l Voltage translorrrer shall be capable of withstanding the dynamic loads (e.g. short circuits) of 1.4
times the static rvilhstand load.

7.0 Terminal Markings


7.1 The terminals shall be marked clearly and indelibly in accordance with IEC publication 61869-3 and
61869-5 and shall clcarly identify the secondary terminals.

8.0 Rating platc


A stainless steel nameplate shall be securely attached to the voltage transformer and shall include at
least the following information marked in an indelible manner in accordance with 61869-3 and 61869-
5, which shall be visible under normal service condition. In addition to the data mentioned in IEC
Standard, secondary winding resistance at specified temperature shall be engraved on the nameplate.
Engraving shall be white on a black background.

9.1 Gencr:rl

Tests shall be perlormed in accordancc with the relevant IEC standards amended to date in line with
N'I-DC't'ype test policy to ascertain that the voltage transformers comply with the specified rating,
characteristics and operational requircments regarding dcsign, size, material and manufacture. The
voltage transformers shall be subjected to type and routine tests specified herein.

9.2 Typc Tests


9.2.1 Duly cenified and complete reports for type tests carried out as per NTDC's Type tesl policy on the
voltage transformers having same design, voltage ratings & transformation ratios shall be acceptable
in lieu ofactual tesl.s. The validity ofthe type tests reports shall be as pcr NTDC's 1'ype test policy.
ln casc of non-production ofthe requisite type test reports or if the type test reports are not acceptable
to the Substation Design N1-DC, the lbllowing tests in accordance with relevant IEC standards and
this specification shall bc performed on the voltage transformer having same design, voltage ratings
& transtbrmation ratios as ordered in presence of two representatives one from Substation Design,
N'I'DC and other lrom purchaser at a l-ab approved by Design NTDC in line with N'IDC'S Type test

The type test report must contain the given below details in addition to above type tests duly stamped
by the testing lab (as per NTDC Type tests policy) shall be submitted with the bid. Such information
shall include, but is not restricted to the followings:
(a) Complete outline drawings.
(b) Data, photographs, details ofsupporting structure.
(c) Operating mechanism.
(d) Record oftest quantities oftested voltage xransformer.
(e) Drawing of VT general assembly.
(f) 'fhe details ofmountings, lixings and insulator.
(g) Creepage length, dry arcing distance and shed profile.
(h) Outline drawing, height and rated cantilever strength of insulator.
(i) 1'he resistance mcasured before and after the type tests of both primary and secondary
windings.
0) Manufacturer's name along with Country of origin of all components (like insulator,
connector, terminal head, core, winding, bellows, etc.) used during type testing.

9.i Routine Tests (For Quality Assurance)


'l'he manufacturer shall perform routine tests on all voltage transformers according to respective
clauses of IEC 61869-1, 61869-3 and 61869-5 and test repofts shall be submitted at the time of pre-
dclivery inspcction.

9.4 Acceptance Tests/ FAT (Factory Acceptance Test)


9 4.1 The following tests shatl be made on 100%o ofthe ordered quantity ofVTs & CVTs to be offered for
pre-delivery inspection/testing in presence of NTDC representative(s). The arrangement, test
conditions, and criteria to pass the tests shall be in accordance with relevant clauses of IEC 6 I 869- l,
6 I 869-3 and 6l 869-5 amended to date for each vohage transformer. The determination of errors test
shall be perfonncd after all other tests.

a) Measurement ofthe resistance of primary and secondary windings. The resistance should not
cxceed the resistance measured during type tests on voltage transformer.
b) Power frequency voltage withstand test at primary & secondary windings and between
sections.
c) l'artial discharge measurement.
d) Measurement ofcapacitance and dielectric dissipation Factor test.
e) Tests for accuracy.
l) Verification of marking
9 .4.2 Following tests shall be perforrred on one Voltage 'lransformer prior to the tests mentioned in 9.4.1
as per IEC standards randomly selected from the offered quantity of voltage transformers. If one
specimen lails to meet the requirements of any individual test specified below, then two additional
samples shall be selected at random from the offered lot. Failure ofany specimen from the second
sarnpling shall cause rejection ofthe entire lot.

9.4.3 One complete VT & CVT shall be fixed on the steel supporting structures for following examination:
a) Verification ofname plate data and terminal marking.
b) Check ol constructional and performance requirements.
c) Visual & dimensional verification of Vl' & CVT assembly, steel supporting structures,
terminal connectors and earth terminals.
d) Measurement of creepage distance.
e) Verify all components/devices are correctly labeled.
9.4.4 The acceptance/inspection certificate should clearly indicate the performance of above tcsts during
pre-delivery inspection/testing and test results shall be submitted to the Purchaser. A copy ol bill of
quantity indicating thc total quantity of each component, parts, structure, their accessories, etc, duly
signed by the inspectors(s) required lor consignee for verification on receipt of material in
warehouse/store shall also be attached with the inspection certificate.

intcrnational practice. Special precaution may be essential for protection ofinsulation during transport
to prcvcnt moisture absorption due, for instance, to rain, snow or condensation. In every package of
cquipmcnl lor shiprnent onc number installation, crcction, maintenance and operation instruction book
enclosed in water proof material shall be provided. Bill of quantity shall indicate the quantity, size,
