1.AUTOTROPH

Autotrophs are organisms that can feed

themselves using inorganic materials. It is a
live creature that feeds itself without the
assistance of other living things.

2.HETEROTROPH
A heterotroph is a living organism that feeds
on the energy and nutrients provided by
other plants or animals. It is a organism that
are unable to produce their own food and rely
on other organisms for energy.

3. NUTRIENT
Nutrient are food or any nutritious component
digested by an organism that is essential for
development and repair . It also includes any
chemical necessary for an organism's
development and functioning. To stay alive and
flourish, all living things require nutrition.

through food and drink we take , as well as the
amount of energy expended through physical
activity.

5. ABSORPTION
Absorption is the process by which the
nutrients are absorbed by the blood and
delivered to the human body . It's also a
process of absorption of chemicals into cells or
throughout body tissues.

B. ACTIVITY 1: DO THIS!
A.
Plants' nutritional requirements include a
combination of water, carbon dioxide, and sunlight,
which allows them to grow.
B.
Animals consume carbohydrates, proteins, and
essential nutrients including fatty acids and amino
acids. When contrast to the basic requirements of
plants, most animals' nutritional requirements are
quite extensive .

D. ACTIVITY 2: APPLY WHAT YOU
HAVE LEARNED!

Root systems, in my opinion, obtain more

nutrients than other plant parts since soil is a
primary source of nutrients required for plant
growth. These dissolve in water and are
absorbed by the plant's roots.

9 calories per gram.

VITAMINS 5. These are organic molecules required in

small amounts for normal metabolism and
usually divided into two groups: fat-soluble
and water-soluble.

11-12. IS NUTRITION IMPORTANT TO PLANTS AND
ANIMALS? WHY OR WHY NOT? EXPLAIN YOUR ANSWER BY
RELATING IT TO A REAL-LIFE SITUATION(SCIENTIFIC,
OBJECTIVE)SITUATION

Yes, nutrition is significant to both plants and animals

because it facilitates in the breakdown of food to provide
energy to organisms. Organisms require nutrients to
grow, fight pests, and reproduce. In real life, nutrients are
similar to our parents' support; we need our parents'
support in everything that we do. They are similar to the
nutrients we require to look forward and grow. When we
feel discouraged, it is our family that gives us the strength
to overcome and become brave in life.
