ASCM New Membership Model
What this means for you

• ASCM Chapters and Forums will be able to set your own member dues rates. We have several
resources available to you to help you determine the appropriate amount. (see Local
Membership Guide and companion workbook on C-Box)

• As part of the new model, we are discontinuing the current Membership Rebate calculations
based on length of uninterrupted membership (LUM). Instead, the total price members pay will
go directly to the Chapter or Forum. The distribution will remain quarterly.

• If a company purchases a corporate membership, the Chapters and Forums affiliations will be
sold separately. The company will have the opportunity to purchase at the time the corporate
membership is sold or individuals will have the ability to purchase through My Account at any
time during their membership.

What you can expect from ASCM

• Twice a year, ASCM will email members who do not currently belong to a Chapter or Forum and
encourage them to join.

• ASCM has created promotional space within the join and renew process to allow for Chapters
and Forums to advertise themselves. For example:

o Chapter Descriptor: The ASCM (NAME) Chapter meets the educational and professional
development needs of supply chain professionals in the local area, while also offering connection
and community through local events and networking.

o Forum Descriptor: The ASCM (NAME) Forum offers a professional, local community of supply
chain professionals. Membership helps you engage in meaningful discussions, contribute in ways
that drive the profession forward and grow your professional network.

ASCM New Membership Model
What ASCM needs from you

1. Your new dues rate – due no later than September 1 by filling out this ASCM local dues
submission form. If you need help setting your new dues rate, please refer to the Local
Membership Engagement Guide and companion workbook.

2. To actively encourage members to join a local Chapter or Forum, you will need to provide a
Chapter or Forum descriptor that is no more than 255 characters by November 15. This will be
used exclusively during the join/renew process. Instructions to input the description will be
provided in the near future.
