▶ THIS TOOL HELPS IN DEVELOPING PERSONALITY SCALE. THE ADMINISTRATION
OF THE TOOL IS SIMILAR TO THE HTP TOOL.
▶ As a therapist you need to ask the client to draw a picture as –
A person plucking mango from a mango tree or A person plucking apple from apple tree EXTRAVERSION OR INTROVERSION: THIS IS THE FIRST PERSONALITY TO BE OBSERVED IN ANY PICTURE
▶ Extraversion – The picture moving from centre towards all
the side across the picture is extraversion. ▶ Though there is a picture in the centre, but more focus is emphasised in the sides ▶ Introversion: The picture moving from sides towards centre is introversion. Focus is primarily in the centre inspite other things being around the sides. SENSING OR INTUITION: BASED THE FIRST OBSERVATION DONE, NEXT WOULD BE TO CHECK ON THE SENSING OR INTUITION TYPE OF PERSONALITY TRAIT IN THE PERSON
▶ Sensing: Picture is made of lot of geometrical lines, straight
lines, abstracts. Here the person moves forward with logical perception ▶ Intuition: Drawing with lot of curves or curved pictures. e.g.: petals, circles. Such people move with their instincts primarily. THINKING OR FEELING: MOVEMENT IN PICTURE IS ANOTHER IMPORTANT PARAMETER TO BE CHECKED
▶ Thinking: If there is a locomotion in the picture just
not with the person overall picture, it can be represented as he is thinking. e.g.: Lifted hands, person holding an object, passing cloud. ▶ Feeling: Motionless or still picture represent feeling. e.g.: Picture with rock, person sitting with closed eyes JUDGING OR PERCEIVING:
▶ Judging:Picture is captured with in a handmade frame like
drawing borders or lines to look like a frame, then person has a personality trait as judging ▶ Perceiving: Representation is through scribbles, lot of crooked lines. For example: Instead of drawing leaves in the tree, they would just scribble to give a shape. INTERPRETATION BASED ON SAMPLES
1st Personality Identification: Extrovert
Vs Introvert ▶ The first picture, whole space has been used means he is an extrovert represent that as “E” ▶ In the second picture, drawing is done to a side leaving space, meaning introvert. This can be represented as “I” 2ND PERSONALITY IDENTIFICATION: SENSING VS INTUITION
▶ The first picture, there are lot of
circles drawn instead of leaves, which denotes that person is institutive & represented that as “N” ▶ In the second picture, there are some lines in the hands, tree is geometrical, abstracts, meaning sensing. This can be represented as “S” 3RD PERSONALITY IDENTIFICATION: THINKING VS FEELING
▶ The first picture, there are no
movement, it’s a standstill one, which denotes that person is feeling & represented that as “F” ▶ In the second picture, there is movement in the sky, man is also plucking the fruits which means thinking. This can be represented as “T” 4TH PERSONALITY IDENTIFICATION: JUDGING VS PERCEIVING
▶ The first picture, there is no framework
& the entire picture is free flowing, which denotes that person is perceiving & represented that as “P” ▶ In the second picture, the pictured is captured in handwritten framework which means judging. This can be represented as “J” PERSONALITY CHART
